Were they considerably higher?

Also, I'm back! Full of questions as always

Why is fire spell damage biased on rare/crafted on Paladin shields?
I assume it's intentional and was just wondering why? :)

The -res suffix caps at 20 for each element except fire, which can roll up to -50 and it's the same with spell % prefix except the cap is 30% for the other elements where as fire is 50%.

How does - enemy resistance work ? (is it like an aura that affect nearby mobs or just apply after every attack/strike? does need WDM or work with pure spell as well?

Everybody said that should -99% enemy resistance for normal and -199% for boss but after using MXLUltility to show enemy resistance stats, after i had hit a monster (cast) with (fire/cold/light/poison) : 100(immun)/0/0/0 with -199%all resist, then they still stayed at 100/0/0/0 but didn't drop down to what it should (100/-99/-99/-99), why?

most enemys have 0 resists so having -100% res to an element will double your damage. -199% is recommended for heroics as when their shield drops (ie not immune to that element) they can still have 99% res. -res is calced on hit with either spell or wdm attack. enemys with 100% or higher are immune and -res is not used in the calc (hence why it cant be used to break immunities). I think this is correct btw.

-99 for normal not -100 then it's correct. Heroics have 175-199 after res drop.

Is there a general rule of thumb when it comes to using +res MO's on items?
