The Lazydin [RIP as of 2017]

This is the first build besides the necrosummoner that I've taken all the way to destruction, but now I'm getting pooped on. It's not just because I have no idea how to approach certain quests.. Like ulysssian and the inner cloister... But in general I'm hitting a wall.

I don't know how to transition from mid game to late.

Using:
Circlet with +2 skills
Kra runeword in sacred cloth armor(or some version of the lower leveled armor)
Vindicatess
I forgot the shield, but it's the rha runeword for pally shields
+3 amulet
2 rings with +60 spell damage combined
Ath runeword
Honorfic grieves
Pul runeword gloves

I'm currently lookin for sacred items to replace my current ones, but ultimately I can't do anything. I got 157k defense and lowered the chance for duncraig minions to hit me to 17 percent, but I just get roflstomped...

I can beat normal destruction mode stuff and am on Baal, but I can't do any of the challenges except the creature of flame.

Any tips on the order I should tackle the uber stuff or things I should not really try? Farming places before hitting dincraig?

Lastly... Do I need ring of light? I never really tried to get t, but do I need to craft a sacred pally shield or can k get it on non sacred rare pally shields?

Bacon, you just have to practice to be honest. If damage is your issue, or squishiness, just look for runewords in the docs that best attend to your weaknesses. Build upon what you need. This is just a guide and it all really boils down to time and observation/experimentation. I'm sure one of the more factual members will give you specifics if that is indeed what you seek.

well bacon, regarding progression and gear choices that are helpful at certain points... I think I went pretty in depth there with the guide. Did you read through the uberquest section?

@nanbait: that's the thing... I don't really know what I need. Some of these challenges are balls to wall and after beating creature of flame, I kind of got lost in the uber part of the game. Like I tried hitting uldyssian who I found in the chamber and he just sat there, regened and killed me. It's not so much practice as I don't know how to approach a lot of the challenges.

Also I was hoping to get an answer, like maybe I should try doing the easier challenges and building my way up or if I should just gear accordingly and fight a specific challenge. That being said, I don't know how to face anything..

@evil potatoe: didn't realize there was an uber section. If it's a case by case basis,I'll just screen shot each section and work on each challenge listed one at a time then.

how are you able to use both light and wicked spells? i can only pick one or the other cant get both :C

the skills on the outer edges are the ones that lock you into light/dark spec. the ones in the middle are "influence" trees and can be specced regardless of light/dark, but you can only choose 1 "main" spec and 1 "influence" spec.

I'm gonna get ring of light and tackle the cloister challenge.

But I'm curious. Do the bonuses to spell/ pay damage really up the ante on vessel that much? I hit 20k with super beast but I don't see how I can get higher than that.

Or does that comes with charms and having most of my gear mystic orbed with phy/mag damage?

are you asking about the bonus from solstice and equinox? I've got 11 points in it atm and it's giving 735% bonus damage to vessel, so yeah it's worth it. But you won't hit damage cap without charms.

No I was asking how you reached 60k. I'm maxed on skill gear and only got 20k. But yea I see, so I need charms to reach godhood
