i never comment on posts or anything at all, but summon nec was one of the first median builds i ever tried and i usually wind up running one every season i play as a second character.

why does everyone sleep on nighthawks? the damage is absolutely insane, and it also gives you something to do with your time. strongly suggest taking the points out of death pact and drop abyss knights a few levels and max night hawks and their passive. give it a try, the damage is nuts.

Hey Tyreael :) I think what makes people "sleep" on Night Hawks is that it makes the gameplay as you say, more active. I love the feeling beeing a necromantic overlord, having minions to bid my will. Which is why it contradicts the skill of Night Hawk when you have to be "on the same level" as your minions.
That said, I do really intend to try out Night Hawk as I heard it is really powerful, but it has not fully yet appealed to me :) Maybe I'll do a second playthrough as a Hawker+minion. Or do you feel this is more of a "endgame" skill?

I did just get a hold of Laz set + Sinwar, so atm I'm trying out 2x Veil Kings.

The Pokemancer
(Summoner Walkthrough/Guide)

Introduction
Welcome to my first ever made guide, after some seasons I become sad that no one remade the summoner necro guide, so in the end.. I shall be the one doing it. The thing is, I am not the best median player, but that might this guide even better? If I can do it, so can you!

The build is focused to be a pure summoner and rely on your faithful minions to clear all the gyms (bosses), so that you can brag about all those nice badges (trophies) you have collected as a true pokemancer. I hope you get something out of this, the build will grow as I grow my self, feedback is more than welcome!
PS: I know you can be more effective going other skill trees at the start, but this is not the way of a true pokemancer!

This is a mostly SFF log journey and a guide! Update comes as I progress
PS: There is a super short version with a TL;DR section in the next post below the journey section of the guide.

Pros & Cons
Pros
Can be played easily as solo self found.
Lazy/Relaxing build, minions to do all the works.
Deathless Campaign. A lot of health, defense and avoidance with little points into vitality (6.5k hp with 200 vitality).
Destroy everything in the early game.
Easy going through hell and the early challenges.

Cons
Passive Playstyle - Minions do all the work..?
You put your hands in the faith of the minion AI to be a good boy.

If you wish to learn more about other summoner classes and information about each minion, there is a huge guide on everything summoner related on this page: viewtopic.php?p=442229

Very nice guide, been meaning to play summoner necro since i've come back to MXL a month ago, and was dissapointed that the last guide was in the stone age of 1.2, thanks a lot!

Do wanna ask tough, should i even bother with iron golem by the endgame? If so, what's a good item to transmute into it?
