The chances of getting something good are too small. Two weeks ago I was looking through the top 50 players and found only 2-3 items with good corruptions.
I think next season we will get a more balanced corruption system.

This has happened to me when corrupting rings. Instead of receiving etheral I receive no bonus.
I haven't been able to get absorb on rings yet though. Absorb definitely rolls on maces, just nothing else for me so far.
