PounceZon Guide by Stealthmaster

Image

Intro: After XV release most people will surely want to try new skills and make builds around them but since some newbies recently were asking questions about pouncezon's gear and gameplay, and the Guide section lacks Spearzon guide plus ChuckNoris's version is a bit different and outdated, I decided to make this guide to solve (all) possible issues concerning this build.

Introduction:

Pouncezon is one of the fastest char for rushing thru the regular game and such uberquests like Tran Athulua and Duncraig. This build works best in crowded areas. The more enemies present in the specific area, the more invincible you are. Endgame with 900k and 130 LL you'll become very tanky and swift.

Core of the build:

The main goal is to have over 120% life leech endgame to survive in hardest uberlevels. 900.000 defence and 50% Damage reduction will grant you survavibility and Doom curse from a rare amulet will help you to annihilate everything non-poison in a couple of seconds (or a bit more seconds on pl8). War Spirit is a great skill that spreads your poison so just don't forget to re-cast it after time. Fire elementals are good minions because of their ctc Fire Cannonade on death which can help you in some situations (retrieving your body in SP for example).

Stats:

Str: ~200
Dex: the rest
Vit: 0
NRG: 0

Skills:

Balance, Pounce, Lioness - Smax
Curare - 15 pts
Wild and Free - 10 pts
1 pt in Defensive Harmony, War Spirit, Great Hunt

Q: Why put 10 points to WaF?
A: Because you gain a significant velocity boost, which helps in crowded areas where pouncing without good gear means quick death and also in such ubers as Azmodan, K3KBA, Ureh (invulnerable mobs). Very endgame you can respec those points to the Spear tree to gain moar boost for Lioness :)

Breakpoints:

138 IAS for 10 fps breakpoint; 168 FHR for 3 fps breakpoint.

Early game gear:

Weapon:

TU Maiden Pike (Terra Indiges) - probably most common choice for a spearzon. Bloodlust proc here is more powerful than your innate skill, so it may come handy.

Two-Hand Damage: (126-140) to (675-759)
Durability: 80
(Amazon Only)
Required Strength: 241
Required Dexterity: 483
Required Level: 55
Adds Dexterity Damage Bonus: (102/256 per Dexterity)%
Mega Impact
40% CtC lvl 18 Elemental on Attack
5% CtC lvl 18 Bloodlust on Attack
+(86 to 100)% Bonus Damage to Bloodlust

+(241 to 280)% Enhanced damage
20% Faster Hit Recovery
+(191 to 220) to Maximum Damage
All Resists +(71 to 80)%
Damage Reduced by (18 to 20)%
Total Character Defense Plus (36 to 40)%

Alternative weapon:

Titanomachia RW (Ist into Maiden Pike) - use this option if you don't want to pounce much but to use HS/GH for some more time in the regular game (endgame you will pounce 90% of the time anyway). Stormblast doesn't work with pounce here, but if you can afford MO'ing your gear with at least -50% enemy lightning resists, this is a good choice. Stormblast works like a railgun here (pierces more than one enemy in a row).
Image

Honorific Maiden Pike, MO'd with %ED, max damage, life leech and -enemy poison resists - use this option if you want to use an alternative weapon but tired of rerolling items for RW or don't like to use much TU's :)

Image

Body:

TU Splint Mail (Jitan's Kamon) - mainstream option for a melee build thanks to its excellent stats, especially tri-elemental damage.

Defense: (2170-4307)
Durability: 75
Required Strength: 391
Required Level: 49
100% CtC lvl 42 Singularity when you Die
10% CtC lvl 19 Guard Tower when you Kill an Enemy
Adds (241 to 480)-(481 to 960) fire damage
Adds (241 to 480)-(481 to 960) lightning damage
Adds (241 to 480)-(481 to 960) cold damage

+(191 to 220)% Enhanced Defense
Damage Reduced by 10%

Alternative body armor:

TU Breast Plate (Werecat) - has a bit lower str. reqs, 50% OW, good bonuses to attributes.

Defense: (1984-3904)
Durability: 69
Required Strength: 353
Required Level: 50
10% CtC lvl 16 Claw Tornado on Attack
30% Increased Attack Speed
(46 to 50)% Chance of Open Wounds
+(191 to 220)% Enhanced Defense
+(36 to 40) to Strength
+(36 to 40) to Dexterity
+(36 to 40) to Vitality

Helm:

TU Cervelliere (Snakehair) - when we reach level 90 and choose Curare as our uberskill, this helm will grant you even more power because of additional -enemy poison resists.

Defense: (720-1017)
Durability: 44
(Amazon Only)
Required Strength: 250
Required Level: 49
10% CtC lvl 23 Venomous Spirit on Striking
(17 to 19)% Life stolen per Hit
-(36 to 40)% to Enemy Poison Resistance
+(171 to 200)% Enhanced Defense
+(36 to 40) to Strength
+(36 to 40) to Dexterity

Alternative helm:

TU Diadem (Haareis) - I still would go with TU Cervelliere, but, agian, if you're searching for an alternative, this is a good option also. Additional chance of OW never hurt. Defence is much lower, though, but in Hatred and Terror it won't make much difference.

Defense: (212-375)
Durability: 25
Required Dexterity: 294
Required Level: 54
4% CtC lvl 11 Shackles of Ice on Attack
(14 to 15)% Bonus to Buff/Debuff/Cold Skill Duration
(17 to 19)% Life stolen per Hit
(27 to 30)% Chance of Open Wounds

(14 to 15)% Bonus to Vitality
Cold Resist +(66 to 75)%
Socketed: 4

Gloves:

Honorific T1 gloves, MO'd with +resists - your main source for survive incoming elemental damage. Be sure not to socket it with any high lvl req rune ;)

Image

Boots:

TU Chain Boots (Lionpaw) - a bonus to attributes is always nice as well as %TCD

Defense: (718-997)
Durability: 55
Required Strength: 282
Required Level: 48
+(131 to 150)% Enhanced Defense
+(27 to 30) to all Attributes
+(131 to 150) to Life

+(131 to 150) to Mana
Total Character Defense Plus (18 to 20)%
(216 to 250)% Extra Gold from Monsters

Belt:

TU Heavy Belt (Deadfall) - another mainstream option because of a nice proc and a huge boost to strength.

Defense: (1970-2751)
Durability: 52
Required Strength: 404
Required Level: 50
10% CtC lvl 13 Shower of Rocks when you Kill an Enemy
10% Chance of Crushing Blow
+(241 to 280)% Enhanced Defense
+(66 to 75) to Strength
Lightning Resist +(36 to 40)%
(18 to 20)% Chance of Uninterruptable Attack

Amulet:

Angel Heart

Required Level: 40
+1 to All Skills
(6 to 10)% Bonus to Strength
(6 to 10)% Bonus to Dexterity
Total Character Defense Plus (16 to 20)%
+(3 to 4) to Light Radius

Alternative amulet:

Any good rare amulet with +skills

Rings:

Empyrean Bands, MO'd with ctc Thunder Hammer and -enemy poison resist
Image

Sockets:

PGems for max resists into armor, Rainbow Stones into weapon

Alternative sockets:

LL crafted jewels (Ber rune) with bonus to dex. and resists

Note: you'll need 250 Crafting Points for making such jewels. In early game you can have such an amount by socketing Sur runes into random magic/rare items or by bying appropriate Mystic Orbs and cubing them with random rings.

Image

Early game gameplay:

Till Act I Terror you'll probably have some problems casting Pounce as it will quickly empty your mana orb. So it is 100% safe to use Hyena Strike and Great Hunt instead of Pounce against your enemies at this difficulty. Both skills with activate your procs for more kills and you don't have to worry about anything. Just make sure you have 75 all resists at Act III.

Early game leveling tips:

Pick up every Elixir of Experience you find. Best using it when fighting such mobs as Blinks (Dark Wood), Elite Spiders (Act II Sewers), Poison Skeleton Mages (Palace Cellar 3), Elite Goat Clans (those that revive in numerous quantities in Frozen Tundra), Unseelie Ladies (Frozen Tundra, Ancient's Way) or simply together with Experience shrine. You can try leveling in Hatred Duncraig also, though it can be risky for the first time.

Image

Midgame gear:

Weapon: Celestia's Passion Set piece
Body: Celestia's Wings Set piece
Helm: Celestia's Glory Set piece
Gloves: keep honorific gloves, add MO's with -enemy poison resist if needed (but be careful not going over -100 :) )
Boots: Celestia's Charge Set piece
Belt: Celestia's Ribbon Set piece

Full Spear Set Bonus:

With 2 or more set items:
-50% to Enemy Poison Resistance
With 3 or more set items:
25% Chance of Crushing Blow
With 4 or more set items:
33% Chance to cast level 18 Stormblast on Attack
With Complete Set:
10% Chance to cast level 5 Javelin on Striking
+150% Bonus Damage to Mark of the Wild
Adds 250-500 damage
+2500 Defense
+5% to All Maximum Resistances
All Resists +75%
Damage Reduced by 10%

Alternative weapon:

Crafted Maiden Pike. You can choose either Abandoned or Shimmering shrine and then bless with Weird shrine. Stats we are looking for:

- 16% ctc lvl 7 Shower of Rocks when you kill an enemy;
- 15% ctc lvl 20 Spike Nova when you kill an enemy;
- 9% ctc lvl 19 ATMG Sentry when you kill an enemy;
- +3-4 to Amazon skills;
- +300-350% ED;
- adds X-Y damage;
- X to maximum damage (can go up to 1000);
- life leech.

Of course, this crafted weapon is not even close to being a good one, because I never had enough patience for crafting really good gear. I still prefer endless hunting for sets and SU's. :D
Image

Rusalka RW (Rha into Sacred Maiden Pike) - suggested by tencanek and romanN1, this is the excellent midgame weapon choice if you're having trouble finding Spear Set pieces or bored/tired of crafting. Just take a look at this baby: :D
Image

Amulet: rare amulet with +4 all skills and, what is most important, ctc Doom and TTAD (for dealing double damage to the doomed enemies). Can take more than 100 rolls to obtain such an amulet, but the result is worth it :D
Mine are far from being perfect, was too lazy to roll better ammys. I believe you will be lucky enough to get even +5 skills ;)
Image Image

Rings: Ripstar (use one if you find it with 50% OW), another one - keep Empyrean Band

Sockets: LL crafted jewels (Ber rune) with bonus to dex. and resists.

Mid and End game gameplay:

Activate War Spirit, buff youself with Bloodlust (War staff on switch, socketed with Nih runes), and pounce everything. Use HS/GH against single targets if necessary. If you have -100 enemy lightning resists, Stormblast on melee attack (from Spear set) will own the toughest enemies. Note that it is very dangerous to pounce Terror Baal, because you will be quickly overwhelmed by Shardspawns and their 'deadly runes', and, eventually they will 1-shot you. The Whole Destruction difficulty is all about pouncing (beware of stationary witches in well-known areas). DBaal is doable with midgame gear. Just pounce shardspawns and move all the time to prevent unnecessary deaths. Stay 1 sec. after pouncing to gain fury then Great Hunt vs the boss. If there are more than 5 Shardspawns summoned, kill them first, then continue damaging Baal.

+(31 to 50) Life on Striking in Melee

Boots:

Nephilim RW (Nih)
Image

Alternative boots:

SU Heavy Boots (Spirit Walker) - magic resist! Although it gives only +50%, this is quite enough to survive some dangerous mobs with magic damage such as red archons in The Truine uberlevel. Also it is very helpful against Kabraxis' Balefire.

Defense: (1102-1320)
Durability: 42
Required Strength: 295

(11 to 15)% Curse Length Reduction
Requirements -40%

Belt:

Ahriman RW (Ghal)
Image

Alternative belt:

SSU Plated Belt (Lilith's Temptation) - another mainstream item which is used for farming. I personally don't use it with pouncezon because of -25 penalty to attributes which is kinda bad if we want to use Demonic Touch gloves. :|

Defense: (3917-4815)
Durability: 61
Required Level: 100

+(301 to 350)% Enhanced Defense

Image

Ultimate gear:

Body:

Natasha's Legacy (6x Kabraxis Stones into Ancient Armor) Aim for min: +3 max resists, 15 %DR, -30 enemy resists, but remember that you can't have everything so feel free to roll stats which are suitable for you the most if you have a lot of time and patience for endless Sewers farming.
Image

Alternative body armor:

SSSU Light Plate (Auriel's Robe) - Wolf Stance velocity boost helps a lot in Ureh runs (if you want to farm it for a good charm or a trophy) as well as Blink proc.

+(5 to 10) Lightning Absorb
+(5 to 10) Fire Absorb
Damage Reduced by 15%

Cannot Be Frozen
Poison Length Reduced by 50%

Gloves:

SSSU Leather Gloves (Demonic Touch) - used to be more powerful with Death Projector reanimate. Still, 5% DR and Cataclysm proc are quite powerful for endgame. Decent option if you can deal with 908 strength requirements.

Defense: (1003-1008)
Durability: 25
Required Strength: 908
Required Level: 100

Boots:

SSSU Light Plated Boots (Steel Terror) - excellent item. MIRV (3x Beacon nuclear strike) owns everything which survived your poison attacks. Respawner proc can be dangerous for recovering your body as it spawns a pack of mobs on the top of your corpse. Must NOT be used in Yshari Sanctum uberlevel.

Defense: (1972-2488)
Durability: 68
Required Strength: 448
Required Level: 100

Challenges:

LC0:

It's a bit tedious to do this challenge, because even with Takedown + Bloodlust it still takes time to get rid of all the traps. As a result, your stamina bar will empty very fast, but if you keep your eyes open, you'll succeed without dying. After 3 tries I felt pain in my fingers so I stopped with this reanimate:
Image
Moon Knights are mobs that sometimes cast Dark Power but what is most important, they pounce too :P So your new zealots won't allow you to feel lonely in your quests.

LC1:

Can be done with no problems without a single pounce. Hatred density is low, so there is nothing to worry about. Just be sure to do the correct recipe in XV version :)

LC2:

Summon Horadric Magi and lure them one by one thru the passage leading to Lost City. They will die fast. Kill Tal Rasha and cube your class charm.

Ennead Challenge:

Act II Exemplar merc can help you here if you fel like you cannot properly withstand skeletons' attacks. Rolling the old map is better, because the right bottom Necromancer is not protected by invulnerability shield. Rush forward to him and kill. Grab your class charm if it was dropped.

Black Road Challenge:

Not tricky at all. Beware of The Butcher as you probably won't have enough life at that moment to withstand two direct hits. Keep at least 5 elementals summoned every time (LMB). Kill him with Great Hunt on your RMB. Terror Fauzt is easy too. Pounce will own everything except Harpylisks here. Those birdies can be either killed or left alone. Trial of Blood (Terror TA) can cause problems connected with sudden pouncing on Priestesses. So I suggest using Great Hunt in these areas to avoid killing them too fast. :)

Minigames:

You should have no problems with any of them. The 3rd one, however, is the most boring because of a small chance to get swirlies. Always have a TP opened so you won't miss the moment to cube your class charm.

Veteran Tokens:

The only thing I can suggest here is to take pauses between strikes when you fight Fairy Witch. Her Rain of Fire will finish you very fast if you stay close to her for more than 1 second. With enough -enemy poison resists she will die from 2 hits.

Dragon Eggs:

For me they look rather useless. The only thing those Dragons can do is killing your mercenary. Considering the fact you can have tons of money from selling rare items, i suggest you to roll doom amulets using Oils of Renewal. You still can kill Dragons just for fun, though :D

Uberquests:

Easy, Moderate, Hard, Very Hard

Image

Dungeon:

Creature of Flame: get hit by a guardian, rush to the boss, kill it, grab the charm.
Infernal Machine: pounce everything.
Death Projector: pounce it when the first death spiral vanishes.
Azmodan: enter, rush to the room where Azmodan is, kill him with Hyena Strike. If the map has lower density, he will die very quick. I suggest to avoid teleporting straight behind the wall because of lag and unpredictable mobs awaiting for you near Azmodan.
Rathma Square: again, with the lower density it is much easier. In XV flying scimiars were removed so it became even easier now. Hyena Strike against Primus.
Cathedral of Vanity: stack lightning resists to avoid sudden death from Dorian Gray, lure nuns to the small room, wait till the first death spiral vanishes, quickly teleport to the main room, rush to the Ball, kill him, then pounce everything.
Toraja: we're not the common Toraja farmer, so we'll only need this uber to complete the quest. Slowly move upwards, use staff on switch to quickly summon Edyrems on the top of Lilith, pounce to her, if you survive Broadside, grab the charm and cube it.
Kabraxis: If you're planning to get all great gems from elementals you will need to respec to bowazon anyway (rainbow damage). Same goes for Kabraxis: as a pouncezon it is hard, but if you're insistent, equip SU Bone Helm and SU Heavy Boots. Both items will grant you more survavibility. Also stack additional poison resists just in case (rarely Kabraxis uses Punisher Barrage).
Vizjun: there are some mobs there which slow you down, so it's better avoid pouncing into big crowds if you don't want to die fast. Another variant is to rush to MCS, kill surrounding bots, purify the boss, grab the charm and S&E.
Uldyssian: You cannot pounce here. Well, you can cast the skill but it won't teleport you to the monster. Baal memory is what keeps a pouncezon not viable for this uber because you cannot tank him long enough and deal enough damage to kill him quickly (the boss heals himself if Open Wounds wear off).
Startled Witch: She ignores your magic resists now. Haven't defeated her yet.
The Void: not attempted yet.

Image

Summoning: -can be quickly done with mid game gear using Spear Set because of Stormblast-

The Butcher: summon elementals, Great Hunt against the fatso.
Tal Rasha: pounce everything.
King Koth: pounce everything.
Akarat: pounce on some scourges, run away to avoid hammers, pounce another pack of scourges, kill Akarat with Hyena Strike.
Lord Aldric Jitan: summon him in the hall next to the Halls of Anguish entrance, kill guardsmen and the boss one by one with Great Hunt.
Legacy of Blood: summon as many fire elementals as you can, Dark Summon, pounce Blood Golems, when Bartuc becomes blue-colored, kill him with Great Hunt. Avoid Immolation Bombs!
Judgement Day: use staff on switch for better %FCR to summon elementals, when an avatar appears, drink pots and pounce on him, kill him with Great Hunt. The 2nd part is doable too, but is extremely tedious (kill one avatar and hope that the different one appears while you still have swirlies).
Inarius' Revenge: kill them one by one with Great Hunt. If you keep pouncing on them, you will be 1-shot by Deathstrike.
Zorun Tzin: since he is a heroic boss this is our main problem, as we don't have strong elemental damage to kill him in a few hits. Making one-element dedicated gear is only half a solution, because you can lose high defence and %DR which is needed to survive ratfinks' bites. Can be done with extreme patience (both when crafting and fighting), but if you want to do this uber as fast as possible, you'd better do a respec and make a caster zon.
Brother Laz: not attempted yet.
MarcoNecroX: not attempted yet.

Image

Uberlevels: -our favourite places because of VERY crowded areas-

K3KBA: set drops here are meh. Not for us. As for the charm, rush to the totem, Hyena Strike, pounce on skeletons, rush to the Necromancer and kill him, repeat on two another Necromancers if needed. Beware of Nightmare curse! Huge amount of life leech helps here a lot.
IotSS: pounce everything.
Khalimgrad: pounce everything.
Tran Athulua: you may want to spend some time here to find SU's you want. Completely useless very endgame.
Fauztinville: not the best Fauzt farmer but still good here. Neon Fiends will slow you down, so without ultimate gear this place becomes much harder. Huge LL is a must here and Death Projector reanimates from SSSU Leather Gloves will ease the job A LOT.
The Truine: can become one of your favourite farming places if you keep your eyes open. As for the boss, make Eris RW [Ix into Amazon Bows] for Dominate oskill. Requires some dodging skills.
Bremmtown: pounce everything, Great Hunt against the Dragon.
Sewers: supermegamaxed resists are not needed here if you can afford insane amount of LL. ;)
Ureh: gear check. See the miniguide below. ;)
Brachyceran: stack 95 poison resists and 400 overall poison resists. First three levels are easy. The boss fight is veeery tedious (at least for SP, where you must retrieve your corpse). The core is to wait till the Maggot curse ends, rush to the boss, Great Hunt against him (count 1..2..3..4..5.. in order to escape just before he casts the curse again). I still haven't managed to kill him yet, but I believe that this uber is still doable with this build. If you respec to the bowazon, it is much easy, though.
Duncraig: pounce everything. Stack additional fire resists against Assur.
Yshari Sanctum: rushing strictly to Valthek is not a problem. The real difficulty comes if you want to get all set parts with a pouncezon. Chimeras, Demon Lords and especially Polar Worms (lagging) are most dangerous monsters in this huge maze where one mistake transforms body recovery into a very hard task.

Image

Heroic Bosses: -pouncezon is bad against most heroics because we only have physical, magic and poison (not vs QT and Astro) damage (other elemental damage is weak). So I suggest either respec to bowazon or get Cowboys set, MO'd with -enemy resists.-

Belial: I really, really hate this mofo. Maybe I'm a noob vs him, but since you cannot go back to Ancients' Way anymore, the only tactics vs him here is to hope than his poison resists will drop in the first 5 seconds of battle. You don't even have to clean the area because you'll need some mobs to leech life.
Bull -Shit- Prince Rodeo: position yourself next to the 'right wall', jab him with Hyena Strike to death, grab the charm.
Quov Tsin: poison immune. And you cannot damage him enough with Great Hunt because we don't have -enemy magic resists MO's yet. :) However, if you make a one-element dedicated gear via shrine crafting and socketing appropriate elemental runes, you can defeat him. Don't forget about stacking enough resists and enough %DR.
Astrogha: same as Quov Tsin. You can also respec into bloodzon and Lava Pit him. Don't forget to get -199 enemy fire resists.
Athulua: making a bowazon with multi-elemental attack is the best variant to kill this heroic boss. Beware of Tremor-casting rats as they can surprise you with greatly reducing your life just in the middle of combat. Use the location to your advantage as you'll need to kite Athulua's attacks very often.

Ureh farming with an amazon (bonus miniguide)

Image

Intro: With a spearzon you are capable to farm Ureh for a perfect charm/trophy without any problems. All you need is a respec and some extra gear.

Core of the build:

Okay, it's not a typical spearzon because we don't use a spear to hit/kill enemies. Our main goal now is to get over 1 million defence in order to have ~10% chance to be hit by Citizens/Darkwardens, max block (75%) for extra survavilbility and over 15k life. You would ask me how the hell it is possible to get such stats alltogether with an amazon. I will show you how ;)

Stats:

Str: ~200
Dex: ~550 (enough for maxblock)
Vit: the rest
NRG: 0

Skills:

Paragon, Wild and Free, Balance, Lioness - Smax
Pounce - 17 pts

Image

Gear:

Weapon: SSSU Short Sword - the core item. Used for having maxblock. Combined with more than 1 mln. defence and 18k life your amazon transforms into a walking mountain.
Image
Body armor: use an armor with the maximum amount of defence you are able to get. Good options are SSSU Leather Armor, Natasha's Legacy RW or any ethereal sacred armor with 15k+ defence total.
Helm: use a helm with the maximum amount of defence you are able to get. The best option would be SSSU Great Helm mainly for its high defence and SA proc.
Shield: SSU Setzshild - another core item. No doubt the best shield for our 'tankazon'. Ethereal one would be godlike. :D
Image
Gloves: I used SU Gauntlets because I managed to get an ethereal one. Not a must-have so you can choose an item which suits you most.
Belt: Ahriman RW would be the best option because it gives us rainbow damage. Not a must-have so you can choose an item which suits you most.
Boots: Nephilim RW is a nice choice. Not a must-have so you can choose an item which suits you most.
Rings: really doesn't matter. Rares with -enemy fire resists are a good option.
Amulet: -Have you ever thought that you would not only use Eviscerator sword for achieving maxblock but for actually killing an uberboss with it? :D
The one and only choice is a rare amulet with Death Blossom oskill. If you manage to get Mythal proc it would be even better:
Image
The main purpose of this amulet is to get a skill which is capable for killing Juris Khan. Lioness blocks any ranged skills which are perfect for killing single targets (like Hailstorm); also we cannot use a spear because without a shield you will die fast. Death Blossom is a melee non-WDM skill which deals fire damage - 15-20 hits is enough for killing the boss since his HP is quite low.
Sockets: perfect rubies into armor, perfect emeralds into a shield. Use anything you want to socket into our twisted sword - jewels, runes, gems... 3 sockets only, so it's your choice :D

Image

Gameplay:

Enter Ureh, walk your way to the narrow passage. When you reach it, simply teleport to Juris Khan (I used Jitan's Gate, with upgraded Void charm it obviously becomes much faster). After you reach boss area, start attacking Juris Khan with Death Blossom till he dies. Drink potions if necessary. Both citizens and darkwardens will do little harm to you as well as the boss. The only problem comes when Juris Khan spawns with Magic Resistant attribute since he becomes immune to fire and cold attacks. Thus, the only way to deal with him lies in Mythal proc from your rare amulet thanks to which, he will drop those resists.

Pouncezon, one of the easiest and fun characters to farm ubers with. At some point, when you gather enough end game gear - you would think you are doing normal TA and Duncraig. Vizjun trophy farming never felt so easy. Cookie of course for the time spent writing this guide, so it could make somebody''s life less miserable :)

This is why I like median, My char uses literally nothing from this guide except flame and it is full build lol, So many ways to get to the same end result. I do think there are a few items that are not listed, that could be MVP gear if built for them. such as:

Scales of the Drake
Defense: (5258-6727)
Durability: 51
Required Strength: 512
Required Level: 100
100% CtC lvl 16 Punisher Barrage when you Die
+(1 to 2) to All Skills
30% Faster Cast Rate
-50% to Enemy Poison Resistance
+(50 to 75)% to Poison Spell Damage

+(14 to 18) to Lorenado
+(201 to 250)% Enhanced Defense
+300 to Life
+5% to Maximum Poison Resist
Damage Reduced by (5 to 10)%
5% Reanimate as: Henchman

Socketed (6)

Also for more versatility you can go with gehanna, community gloves and MO 2 or 3 items with -enemy fire resist, for a tri dmg char rather then a full wdm/psn build. Which is what I have done.

Gehenna
Defense: (3425-4196)
Durability: 45
Required Strength: 546
Required Level: 100
5% CtC lvl 21 Fire Cannonade when you Kill an Enemy
+1 to All Skills
-50% Slower Run/Walk
+666 fire damage
+(25 to 40)% to Fire Spell Damage
-(10 to 25)% to Enemy Fire Resistance
+(16 to 32) to Path of Flames
+(251 to 300)% Enhanced Defense
+5% to Maximum Fire Resist

Socketed (4)

Greg's Silent Scream
Light Gauntlets (Sacred)
Defense: (1728-1966)
Durability: 46
Required Strength: 544
Required Level: 100
1% Chance to cast level 37 Fire Fountain when you Take Damage
+1 to All Skills
-25% to Enemy Fire Resistance
+(23 to 31) to Pyroblast
+350% Enhanced Defense
+5 Fire Absorb
Damage Reduced by 10%
Socketed (4)

Poison spell damage does not affect Curare when using pounce. Character sheet is wrong.

The only stat from Scales of the Drake which suits us is - enemy poison resists which can be easily achieved by wearing another gear (spell damage doesn't work with pounce, melee hits only!). Reanimates are nice, but that is all. It wasn't mentioned because it's more like a caster build armor (there are several better options).

Gehenna was mentioned in the old forum many times. :P Yeah, it's a really cool mainstream option but I don't like the proc because of lagging in crowded areas and because it is heading in one direction unlike novas or covering small areas (Shower of Rocks, for example).

Gloves are fine, but they suit best with another item from the set (the boots, for example) to get Wolf Stance. If Demonic Touch is an expensive option, Hammerfist (SU Heavy Gloves) isn't.

Nevertheless, thank you for suggestions and the feedback. Yeah, many other items can be used (I tested lots of them, but not all), especially if you already have all charms (on MP) and just want to do routine farming.

I understand about scales, but you missed my mark with gehanna. Im not suggesting it because its mainstream and im not suggesting the gloves bc theyre cheap, im suggesting the combo bc it gives another source of dmg rather then pure wdm/psn.

u should mention devastator as endgame helm
its by far superior to any helm as soon as u got ur dr cap from something else
gehenna part is pretty good but lagy as fuck ^^

also Der Nebelring isnt mentionned
i found it better to get dr cap without helepolis
but well there so much way to build a pounce execpt to mainstream setup like natasha and flame

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have to disagree with you about the helm. Just look:

Devastator has nice %TCD. That is where its advantages end. Huge str. reqs; useless oskill (you only get %FRW from it which is not actually needed because we already are very fast endgame); LaK is not needed because we have insane life leech; plus we already have good damage and %AR. I tried this helm with a very endgame gear and wasn't satisfied, because you lose ~30 LL from SSU Mask which can be critical when jumping into very big crowds of monsters (Vizjun for example).

Der Nebelrings have flat life. It is good, but not needed, because, again, we can leech life from 10% to 100% in less than a second, no matter how many hit points we have. These rings are best when you do some respec before doing some harder uberquests like Startled Witch (having a lot of hp is crucial there). And we have already about 700k defence and enough %DR. Anyway, I'm going to mention them, because they are good if you have a Natasha roll with every stats high on it but %DR.

but well there so much way to build a pounce execpt to mainstream setup like natasha and flame

Agree here. I can judge it by TSW screenshots. Yeah, most people use Helepolis as their helm for example and some crafted weapons. I have always been lazy for crafting, that's why I prefer sets, RW's and uniques.

I have most ultimate gear items and all charms... But I am dying trying to do dragons for rerolling ammys. Too impatient for oils. Any advice for staying alive? I'm using GH on him to kill him, but his fire gets me.
