Read the documentation (Quest ref.). You dont need to do Magglot Lair on hatred.

Maggot Lair is Brachyceran lair , an uber level.

For the staff just destroy the altar at claw viper , the superunique acid fiend there drops staff part on death.

Is there any way when exploring the world for a first time to know that the next monster you see is about to one shot you?

90% poison res with 250 more than it takes you to reach 90, and about 500k defense and it's easy but the boss is really hard. If I were you I would skip it until destruction lvl 120 and already own most of the charms and nice end game gear.

There is no real way to know it the first time but generally red areas (uber areas) in hatred are lvl 80, just don't go there.

By the way you did read the median xl statue you got when you made the char or? It says that you get the staff where you get the amulet.

Hey guys. I just started some time ago im lvl 52, and now this new patch comes. Should i stop till it comes ? Reroll new char then ? OR i can continue playing right now ? Id rather not play if its better to wait. Dont have much time

Wait it out since there's gonna be full wipe.

SP/MP?
If you are playing MP, chars won't work on new patch, on SP also your char won't work, but you have an option to continue play on old version (I doubt you will). So if MXL is new for you I suggest you to play a lil bit to see what is this game about, make some 120 char try some ubers its not alot time consuming to test it.

Oh ok thanks. I was just kind of moving on autopilot I guess. I didnt realize it was a lvl 80 area LOOOOOL. Ive been tanking up so much to try and get past those initial maggots lol.

I'm not anal about the superior bonuses, I just happened to have made it superior. I've used at LEAST one Oil of Renewal per Luck Trial. I don't like having the increased durability as the only bonus so I'll reroll that into something else.

Legit I've spent over 5 hours total now with a very high, unknown number of gold put into it. I don't remember it being this bad.. Imma cry.
