When "checking version"/ while connecting to battle.net has anyone gotten around "Unhandled Exception: Access_violatino (c00000005)". I read that its really generic, but hoping someone has experienced getting around this at this specific point. bottom corner shows v1.13, and i have downloaded latest update.

did you switch gateways or download and use the registry file?

i checked gateway editor, and ran registry file. One thing i noticed is that

an existing one with the name "Battle.net Gateways" (without the Diablo II) in front has similar data in there. Should i delete this one, and take out Diablo II of the one the regdit 4 adds?

Deleting files in the registry will probably cause problems. Maybe try restarting pc and see if that helps. Make sure to run as admin as well (win xp sp3) without d2se or any other program. That c00000005 is pretty generic so it could be anything really. If that doesn't work, reinstalling d2 usually does.

any idea why i cant gambnle for jewels? jewels do not show up for gheed and ive gamble.exit gamble.exit 200+ times all sorts iof items no jewels .. im level 14 and 16 it doesnt work for either of my saves im pretty sure it let me gamble once upon a time for jewels but now jewels do not aPPear even when i start a new char at lvl 1
