Realm Patch?

I've never had a server up when there was a patch before. Are we expected to do anything in particular to prepare for the new patch? I know the realm-patch and non-realm patch are different, so I don't think we'd download the patch that the players download? Anyway, let me know so I can be sure I'm available to update the new patch when/if necessary.

realm patch is usually delayed as much time as possible, so in case there's some sort of bug, I don't need to go through all the MPQ building/uploading/etc process twice. So I would say tomorrow night I'll be sending the patches. It's just a matter of replacing the patch once it's done, on reset time. If someone is not available, then updating and shutting GS down is the right call, and then turning it on whenever you can (i'm not sure if aahz can do it remotely)

I cannot turn GS on remotly once it shuts down, but it's possible to do it this way:
1. shutdown GS
2. replace patch
3. start GS
4. immediately after it starts change maxgame to 0 (telnet to admin console, maxgame 0)- or change it in registry while it's shut down
5. check that maxgame is really 0 - this way no player can join unless I raise it again (after ladder reset)

Alright, sounds good. I don't have any plans until Easter Sunday (27th of this month), and then possibly out of town for two days after that, but sounds like realm patch will be here before then so no worries.
