First time EVER - cant get in game

hey guys,

this is litteraly my first time ever wanting to try out Median XL...
now everytime i try to get in a game it closes my client..and shows this error pop up with a code to send to blizz, or not.

dont realy know how to fix this. would appreciate some help =)

Can you post a screenshot of the error and list any third party programs you are using and os?

i think i can help you, follow these steps:

1.delete everything d2 related
2. reinstall diablo 2 on a folder thats NOT in /program files/
3. update to 1.13c (i can link it to you if you want)
4. if you want to play the sin war (multiplayer) download the registry fix so that you connect to the realm
5. make a shortcut to game.exe and add " -w" (without ") to the target, use that shortcut to start the game

if you hit any errors, screenshot and post them pls

Do you have plugy running? If so, disable it. I have the same problem when using Plugy. The game crashes when trying to connect to Bnet.
