If the lightning damage from Magnetic Field is influenced by the 1/100 modifier, then I have to assume the same applies to Zerae?

How many times does Magnetic Field hit per second? Since TTAD is broken I'm wondering how much damage doom would do.

TLDR - if I'm having trouble deciphering how the fucking skills work, the descriptions are too vague.




If "when attacked" procs are supposed to work when the attack fails (miss/dodge/block), then they're not working correctly.

I loaded up 500k defense with runeflesh (20% ctc), went standing around in bloodmoor and triggered maybe once in 10 seconds, when the real proc rate should be about every second considering I'm being attacked at least 5 times per second.

I then loaded up on 0 defense PDR gear and the proc rate went through the roof.

Hammer of Zerae & Magnetic field are skills which have both a WDM & a spell component.
- They add your weapon damage and scale it with their modifier. This is increased by the regular stuff that increases missile dmg attacks, but NOT by spell damage even though char sheet shows otherwise.
- The flat lightning damage you see listed on the tooltips is the spell component. This is increased by the regular stuff that increases spell damage. Obviously this is not affected by WDM modifier.

How often does magnetic field hit? Who knows. This sort of information has never been available. How often does Abyss hit? How often does Tantrum hit? The best we can do is approximate with procs for WDM skills or if Marco does the calculation with the behind the scenes missiles and lets us know.

A lot of people erroneously assume that everything that multihits always hits 25 times per second, but this is not true. For example shatter the flesh hits 8 times per cast.

Not sure if StF really hits 8 times per cast or it's just an error in skill description:

It's basically a clone of skills like Freezing Arrow or Glacial Spike and Corpse Explosion. Do these skill multi-hit as well?

The problem with CtC when Attacked might be the wrong event function (20 instead of 21).

Noctule is not proccing on attack procs from off-hand claw, like a true DW skill should (batstrike).

Summon blade spirits are acting pretty weird. I loaded up +400% minion damage and the actual damage increase was just a bit above +100%.

It's like they're "invisibly" affected by a huge +minion damage modifier by default.

Seems like the Deathgaze / Iron Spiral proccing issue was reported incorrectly. BOTH do not trigger "on melee attack" events from the offhand.

I suspect what confused people is the fact that, the right hand or left hand of your character are irrelevant for determining which is your "main" hand. All that matters is which weapon you equipped first.

Quick test I ran: two honorific axes, one with 30% ctc Miasma the other with 30% ctc spike nova.
1) Put both weapons in inventory, char hands empty.
2) Now put Miasma in your char's left hand (becomes main), Spike in the right. Miasma procs, spike nova does not. Repeat 1), but now put Spike nova in the left hand first - only spike nova procs.
3)Afterwards repeat the 1), but first put Miasma in your char's right hand (becomes main), Spike on the left. Miasma procs, spike nova does not. Repeat 1) with Spike nova going in the right hand first - only spike nova procs.

Ditto for two swords and Iron Spiral.

Well, it kinda *does* make sense... You equip your main hand first, usually. I would never have thought blizzard would bother with the wich-hand-is-my-charachter's-main problem, instead opting for a sensible "right hand is main, see ya". But whatever.

I'll give you a cookie next time I come across this post, because I find your testing on stuff very valuable.
