i would recommend disabling items instead of rerolling them. also if versioning can be added to rare affix pool to prevent legacy crafts, that would be cool too.

The legacy item is deleted, and the updated one is generated in real-time. That is, you lose any orb bonuses it had, and the ranges are rerolled as it's a new item being spawned.
Good point about ethereal uniques though. I could have it check whether the old item was eth and make the new item spawn as eth if it was. Saving the item's seed would be possible as well (so that it rolls the same result it did for double MO)

Today I got rid of one of the biggest limitations that's been stopping us to do many things for a long time, the states limit, which limited us to a maximum of 254 usable states. The game now should be able to handle up to 65,535 states (if Marco was to ever reach that, it would be easy to increase). The implementation of this also got rid of the "27 states bug" as a bonus.
