Yeah agreed with iwansquall. I wouldn't mind walking that extra step to make it clear how you're traveling.

Great job dude! But don't forget to take breaks, too. Don't burn yourself out :thumb:

How do you do this?

If I had to guess, I'd say find out d2's camera angle and distance, model stuff in 3d (e.g. blender), and then take pictures inside the 3d modeling program, with the correct angle and at the correct 8 directions, using some kind of script for this last step.
Also, assuming the above is how you do it, how did you find out d2's camera data?

Sorry, I'm just a curious boy

Well, this isn't an appropriate place to talk about it here, but I'm thinking of making a quick tutorial about this after I get things setup (I recently reset my computer, so I still have to reinstall a bunch of programs). The issue is that the tutorial would only be for Cinema 4d, since it's the main program I use for rendering models and animations and it really is the easiest/best program to use for these kind of things imo. 3DS Max is what Blizzard used however.

So yeah, that'll probably be posted on the phrozenkeep and/or here in the modding workshop topic some time later on, assuming I have any time left. :?

No worries. We actually set up a team chat with the staff and this makes the modding experience very enjoyable. Also the improved modding infrastructure, such as MXLDB, makes everything so much easier. Modding just became something more professional and less of a hobby although we spend most of our time talking about girls, food or drugs... And I have to thank suchbalance for aiding me with his opinions on conceptual aspects and his great ideas, and he even engaged modding with some items work. Overall we're getting things done on the major aspects of sigma, and things are looking very good, so it's easy to stay motivated

Marco wrote:Well, it makes a lot of sense from a lore standpoint.

The water you see at the east of act 2 is actually part of the Twin Seas (which is what connects acts 2 and 3 in the lore). And the uber we currently know as the Twin Seas is actually an island (Skartara) in the Twin Seas, so it has been renamed. So yes, you will be able to take a boat from Lut Gholein to Skartara Island, where you will be able to enter Tran Athulua, fight Athulua herself or wonder what purpose do the golden statues have.

Hmm, where would k3k location be?
Something like a time portal somewhere in the kurast act

Also, would the black abyss (or Void if they are different or the same place) be accessible from the chaos sanctuary due to being the lower level of hell

I think I read that Void is confirmed for being moved to act IV, as is Kabraxis and possibly Azmodan

I really want to see how both K3K and Fauntzinville's entrances are covered since they're both time-warp kind of deals. Bremmtown too, since it's future fauntzinville

I'm fully aware of the lesser evils and kabaraxis + void being moved to hell, I am asking whether there will be an entrance to the void either in A4 town or in chaos sanc

Both will probably have time portals, maybe the red portal in fautz a few screencaps ago is the entrance to vizjun, bremmtown, or something new

Fautzinville's location heavily depends on what act marco thinks is most suitable for it

It will probably start small and maybe grow bigger. The problem is that everyone wants to test but in reality they just want to play it. We want to look for people who can actually bring useful feedback to the table and not just get to play before everyone else. Also for alpha we won't probably have much security measures - meaning it could get leaked, and we certainly do not want that to happen.

For XV alpha a member of the community that was around for over 5 years had to be banned for leaking the patch.

If at some point we manage to implement some kind of beta-key system, that opens up possibilities and we could include more random people.
