I don't now how original this is, however because the vanilla main game can be easy if you know what you are doing, and you can beat hell Ball fairly soon(compared to max lvl) a friend of mind decided to play with /players 5 command. We obviously make more EXP and each act boss(and others) are more challenging from the beginning. Overall, the game has been more fun.
I'm curious if you will change the stat bonus on /players x(besides maybe adding more if it makes sense). What would also be interesting (and this obviously depends on the overall difficulty) is a semi permanent difficulty increase. For example, you start the game and you get a jewel. It increases the game difficulty and gives you some bonuses, however if you can't progress(or don't want to) you can drop the jewel. The games goes back to normal but you loose all bonuses. The game could be upgraded at each act boss. It would only work on single player of course, and it would give people(who want it) more of a challenge.
Does something like this make sense?
Overall, very excited! If higher res works online I will start playing there.
EDIT:Will you make an in depth post about what your aspirations with sigma are? or will we have to wait for it ? Any chance of seeing a new diablo 2 class? it's something that (as far as I know) no mod has actually done.It would help set apart median even more as one of the best mods around. These are a lot of questions , but I'm excited!! I came here expecting some new screenshots, not this!

And in these years, a lot of sigma-intended content made it to ultimative patches, eventually making ultimative the prequel of MXLS. Maybe I should make a post explaining the history
