I imagine merc gear will most likely have huge avoid so they have a chance to survive ubers. Stuff you don't want players to have.

Would it be possible to code partial respecs? Right now you need to pay the same (negligible) price whether you want to respec just the last point you put in or the entire tree. I know that Marco mentioned raising the price, but I was wondering if it'd be possible to also make it so you need to pay a lot to respec several points vs a few.

Some ways it could be implemented could be "Potion to respec all points in your first skill tree", "Potion to respec all point in rlevel 24 skills", "Potion to respec uberskills" etc.

Can't screenshot that, but the game no longer pauses when you open the main menu (press Esc). Only real use I could see to this was leaving before you died in Hardcore (in other words, exploiting the game). That is, the game now continues to run when you open the menu, just as if you were playing online. Go to town if you need a break. This was never a problem for anyone playing online, shouldn't be a problem in single player either.

Also gave it a new look

That "pause" feature is one of the things, that "makes" singleplayer singleplayer. I use it a lot.
Some one ring the door? ESC. Cat is hungry? ESC. Need to take a pee? ESC.

Following that logic, lag is not a problem, "implement" that in SP.
Better yet, disable SP at all, force everyone play @TSW or wherever, why the heck not.

Bad idea.

Opening a town portal takes what? 5 seconds?

Pressing ESC takes even less.
PLUS, what is really matters, it is hard to actually enter portal amongst mobs, becasuse u know why. Yep, cursor never "pick" portal, it would rather "pick" monster. Or nearby item, if no /nopickup enabled.

So in other words, it lets you exploit the game, in a way. Because you would have either died or be forced to leave (implying you were really in such a rush that it couldn't wait 10-15 additional seconds)
