Understandable free fortify for any build and all, although from what I read that class was better in 2.2 and is getting nerfed in the upcoming patch.
I've finally narrowed down my build options to two:
1)
Essence drain + Contagion occultist. Life based, double curse from the occultist together with -20% enemy chaos res near you. Having to be near enemies + its hc is a pretty easy pointer towards having some armour scaling and 6 endurance charges for physical mitigation. Since I don't need any regular auras my setup will be a blasphemy together with Enfeeble & Vulnerability + some lvl clarity if necessary.
The vuln debuff (with +20% curse effectiveness) + chaos res pierce + 300% increased damage over time should destroy everything while being immune vs reflect. Add in a wither totem for bosses and super safety vs spike damage (double enemy crit multi reduction from enfeeble + indomitable) and the more engaging style of play (2 buttons vs 1) this build is looking really sweet.
Only downside - getting the gem colours on an armour chest will be a huge pain in the arse (5 off for max dps, 4 off for a compromise). Might have to use an armour+es which isn't too terrible considering all the free %es scaling I have from occultist and my tree, however this means no celestial justicar. Otherwise -> celestial justicar, hoard chromes from the start of the league like a median noob hoards chipped gems and pray to rngsus.

2)
Earthquake + 2h mace slayer. Free 40% aoe from the ascendancy means I don't have to bother with spending lots of inefficient points just to reach the templar area. Fast leech + 50% reduced reflect vs phys should cover that area. Minimise attack speed to make sure every attack generates an aftershock. Big armour scaling, 7 endurance charges, crit reduction (I love this cluster if you didn't get it already

), many dps nodes, build finished early - 89.
Will probably wan't to use a marohi erqi unique weap endgame as it has the highest phys attack damage and free 7th link of increased aoe. With that mace one attack should basically be a screenwide piercing nova that does 1.95 WDM at max level (median style boys

). Auras hatred or determination (hopefully dmg is enough without hatred), herald of fire. Slayer bonuses grant an instant kill on any enemy at 20% life or below, which is amazing for tough bosses and especially the new map labyrinth since on the last and hardest boss fight the boss starts at 33% hp.
Only downside - starting a new ladder with a non-spellcaster means you have to keep upgrading your weapon as you go. And from what I hear the rustic recipe was nerfed/removed? so some junk shopping will have to be done in the early days but nothing major.

The last time I played, which was 2.0 I believe, I managed to get to 92 before I got bored with no rips across 3 characters. So personal goal this time around is at least 93.
