There are three types of tasks. Kill specific target, clear level, and kill x monsters in level. The second one requests you to clear 100% of the level, exactly like the den of evil yes. However these usually are set in levels that aren't that much of a pain in the ass to clear. Azmodan's reliquary, infernal cave, those are a few examples I remember. Sure Toraja is a little trickier one, also might be more tedious. But this one's a gold tier task, it surely isn't meant to be a walk in the park. And in terms of tediousness it's not that bad, Toraja really isn't that big of a level.

The reward in experience becomes quite big once you've reached level 120 and are aiming for level 150 at 4.1b exp. These bounty tasks aren't meant to rocket-level you to level 150 in an hour.

The problem is that clearing a level isn't "hard" in the good sense when applied to an ARPG. A good "hard" challenge is one that requires you to know how the mod works, know how to build a character properly, what gear to use, rewards you for the time spent farming the gear needed, etc.

In that sense, clearing a level fully is exactly as easy as clearing 80% of it. Or even 90% if 80% is too low. A build that can clear 90% of Toraja can obviously clear all of it (except possibly the boss, so mentioning killing her specifically in the task is a good idea), so requiring that you clear it fully doesn't add the right type of difficulty. What it does add is the tedium of going through the map and finding that last archer that you happened to miss. I don't think a good reward justifies that sort of pain.

If you want to truly make it harder you could require the player to clear 80% of multiple areas, or the same area multiple times.

Would it be possible to conditionally spawn monsters in an area? That would be another way of making it harder. You could even spawn different types of aura totems to make each run different.

I dunno why anyone would like full clear tasks. I hated it in D2, I hated it in PoE, and now it's coming to MXL. :-8

Well at least I can reroll it, that's good.

yeah imo full clear bounties don't make sense in a fast paced game. probably 90% is good or noone will do them.
