Following this i am playing last of the three - Requiem of Sorrow. Now when i have more empirical data (finishing act 4 atm), can give some unbiased impressions. It's quite similar to original clod in tearms of skills and what they do, but char get aditional tree with various passives also few new skills.
Drops are better, act boss drop 4-6 items and usually one of them is set or unique which is nice. There is unique charm with 4 ingredients that you add at 25, 50, 75 and 100. Merc uses belts, rings, amulet, ect. Some maps are expanded, some areas are reworked, but not drastically.
Main issue is enemy AI, seems like mobs have decreased field of vision or are dumb enough to wait until i atack them. Luring one by one is quite easy and beneficial, almost cheeseable. You can get a big crowd chasing you and they stop one after another making sort of a line. Then you go back and finish them one by one - the manly way to chop things.
