.) Ten bucks this game is designed for consoles from the get go (despite being marketed as a pc game), even if it's "just in case". It's also the reason why the gameplay is slow and boring shit, see below.
.) House building/eye color customization in an isometric ARPG with shit gameplay, so either the devs are fucking morons, or they are intentionally going max casual. Either spells doom for the game. Just look at this crafting video and tell me this game was developed by inspired people who know what they're doing (besides grabbing cash)? Better yet, why is there a weapon crafting system in the first place?
.) Even though it's using cryengine, the game looks like shit because the art has zero inspiration. Slavish use of color theory, just like in D3 and transformers. This is a commercial product (in the real sense of the word) done with a formula. If you think you're going to see something in this game you haven't seen a thousand times before (when it was done better), think again.
.) All indications point to classic "advertise pretty features and graphics, pre-order now!" hype method instead of creating an actually good game. I mean this game even looks like diablo 3 for crying out loud.
.) I can imagine the meeting where they decided to change the name of the game from Umbra (which is actually a pretty sweet name), to Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem... because with the word Mayhem in it, the facebook people understand they can expect action in it. Oh, and Lords of... is probably a vain attempt to influence your brain subconsciously to connect this game with Diablo 2.
.) OP could very well be a marketing slave.
