Just wondering if anyone else here plays MtG. I've been playing on and off for over 15 years, just got back into it about 2 years ago, as my son wanted to start playing around his 10th birthday. I don't play competetively, more 'serious-casual'. I like to have decks tuned for specific purposes but I won't go out and drop hundreds of dollars on a deck for a tournament.

So, any other planeswalkers out there?

Have u heard about Magic Duels (MTG digital card game)? U can play it in steam for free. It is in 21th place as most popular free to play games on steam. Worth a try.

I was thinking about getting it, but I had heard its better as a learning tool. Also that the card pool is limited, is that true?

I play a ton of Magic.

Like... a ton.

What decks/formats? Right now I'm a big fan of commander, and my main decks for that would be Omnath, Locus of Rage, Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim, and Noyan Dar. I want to take apart Noyan Dar and Ayli to remake my old Merieke Ri Berit deck. I don't keep up with standard like I used to, but I always have a budget deck together, right now it's red/black eldrazi aggro. Modern Eldrazi Urzatron and a fast mono-green deck. and I love screwing around with a couple janky decks like an infinite turn deck that uses Villainous Wealth as a win-con and a morph/manifest themed deck for casual games with my son and my cousins.

I play everything but Vintage and Pauper because those are both fake formats.

My LGS, unfortunately, runs draft every other week which kind of sucks, but there's a healthy Standard and Modern crowd so that's mostly what I play. I have the cards to play Legacy but there's not really anybody else in the area with that capability, so I mostly just tinker around with Legacy decks. I play Commander but everyone here is a scrublord and plays stupid, stupid stuff.

I'm currently working on building a Commander Cube, which is really hard but tons of fun. I had a typical unpowered cube for a long time but dismantled it to use for the new Commander Cube.

My Standard deck is also pretty budget, like yours- I'm on UW Awaken. Some of those cards are deceptively strong. I was on the fence about it until I played a few games- it isn't T1 or anything, but it does win games.

I'm not much of a casual player so I never really make "for fun" decks, but oh well. That phase for me as a player is long over. I'm looking to get into competitive Magic now, and might go to some Modern events over the summer.

I used to be into competetive magic, but now I have 3 kids and work full-time. My magic time is limited to playing with my wife, my 12-year old son, my cousin, and occasionally my brother and a few friends when we can get in touch. Once in a blue moon I'll go to a standard fnm or a prerelease. All I do now is casual, so I've had to tune a few decks down. Every now and then though, I gotta remind my son who he's playing against and pull out my eldrazitron.

Hey there... If anyone wants to play online via one of the tools esp for commander/EDH or EDH cube let me know!

I made a few magic threads on the ole forums...& Huge fan of those formats. Oh, and Glad you didn't sell your collection Borgin. So many cards of mine (commons) that I have stacks of, like Urza lands are worth $2 a piece now. Crazy stuff.

Finally organizing the collection with tcgplayer (collection worth hella 1000's).
Do any of you gents have an online collection tracker I can peek at?

I hear pauper is pretty popular as well (only commons). Hence relentless rats value and such.
Oh, and shovelspoon/others with an xbox gamertag, maybe we could play magic via duel of the planeswalkers or something.

I might put my cards on some sort of tracker, whether it's just a google spreadsheet or deckbox or whatever. Problem is it's tens of thousands of cards and tens of thousands of dollars. I can get some pictures if you want, though! :)

Try Magic workstation if you want an offline organizer (and you can get card pics as well) -I also just found virtual playtable which might be able to track collections as well. *and tcgplayer has a good online one - Can be handy for checking prices too

And yeah pics of the rarer cards would be way cool since I'm sure both of our collections would be tough to fit in one room. :D
