My body is gone (Ladder)

I was trying to get in mephisto and died for mob along the way. when I returned to get my body was no space in the inventory and came only a part of it . there died again. when I restarted the game. the only things that remained were the bow , belt and helmet.

When you restart the game only the last body will be at your feet, in this case your partly recovered body, earlier ones disappear. When recovering your body always make sure you have stats to wear everything or enough space in your inventory.

If you lost anything valuable make a list here and maybe some nice people will help you replace

this is normal even on the d2 LOD if you dies and grab some thing on the way and die again this new body become you main body. and if you left the room with out grab the itens from the original body you lost all and keep just the itens on the last body you grab!
i recomend play with the command "/nopickup" this command not let you grab nothing on the way, just if you hold "ALT"

can someone explain to me in detail how the corpse recovery bug works? i just lost some stuff on my character. when i die in a normal game even if i die repeatedly and i relog i can always recover my body. is it because picked up some random piece of gear? it doesnt make sense though because i lost a quiver 2 rings an amulet and my weapon swap. and im playing paladin so i have shittons of stat so i have enough to wear all my gear. I just want to figure out what happened so this doesnt happen again. apparently you can create 2 corpses? i guess i logged out and left 1 of the corpses in the game that had all the gear.

btw lost su: gauntlets if anyone wants to sell me some :S

you probably picked up some stuff from the ground, always use /nopickup

this happened to me, i had a yaerius helm on my paladin.
with 4 killer jewels in it including

Dragon's Egg

i was killing bpr with a buddy & i died but was picking up shrines for my tantrum craft every time i ran through to bpr. in order to equip my yaerius helm i had to weapon switch to my yul staff than switch back when the helm is equipped. meaning when i die and pickup my body my helm would usually be in the helmet slot just it would be red till i weapon swapped.
apparently the helmet went to go into my inventory but because of the shrines it couldnt. not realizing i left the game. than when i came back to grab my body i searched for ever. couldnt find my body with my helm on it.

needless to say. we did not get the kill. i lost a pretty sweet helm. and i didnt get a tantrum w/proc from those shrines.
