Ok so recently i got some interest in modmaking. Started off by reading some tutorials, checking out some programs to do simple but quite cool changes in game,
and i decided that it would be cool to share it here, if that would be wrong forum section please inform me. I'd like to have some support and this should be not bad place to ask since Marco and Whist etc. Maybe I wont give up quickly after watching how complex Median is if i'll find help/feedback here. Anyways lets roll and show what i got ;D

Day 1 - Downloaded some programs for basic edit, afj sheet and tbl edit, kinda figured out how these string thingies work. First thing i done is edited charstats.txt and made Horadrim Cube aka "box" spawn in eq when you start new char and modified walk/run speeds. Later on i got very big interest into specific tutorial from diablo.phx.pl site (don't go there, you won't understand a word anyway ^^). To be exact, making big eq, cube, and stash. everything worked preety well as i just had to rewrie numbers into txt files. With stach i had a little problem because i had to figure out how to make all 10x10 slots work, not 6x8 with 10x10 graphics file ;d. Here is what i finished with, looks preety cool for start.

I know it's nothing impressive for median players but for newcomer to modmaking it's quite satisfying work.

Day 2-3

I wanted to figure out something that would make act boss runs more
than just exp and items. So I came up with idea to make act boss trophys,
maybe i might think of some other name as it sound like stealing idea from
median, maybe i played it too much.

So i digged for some item graphics in Phrozen Keep, found some really
interesting and unique graphics that i will use later on too.

The concept is to make each act boss drop unique "charm" with
specific randomly rolled stats from 0 to X value, so there will be
actually point to re-run boss. I was thinking of drop chance about 70%-90%
probably would be possible to do.

Started to dig around misc.txt and itemtypes.txt, created one trophy and
then there was time to check if everything is ok. Game did not crash so
everything was fine. I did not make mistake, except for no ability
to spawn the item.

So i checked out cubemain.txt. This file is easymode, really, it took
me 15 minutes to figure out and make first recipe. Then i made remaining
14 trophys and cube recipes to chek them all.

Only thing left was to give them unique names and be unique lol. They're
supposed to work like annihilus charm, only one in eq, or else OP with
10x10 bag.

So at last all of them got names, bonuses, and string entrys (i lol'd
when saw every one be "an evil force"). And this is what i came up with.

Day 4 - made golves, belts, and boots socketable.

Also started to experiment with skills, probably biggest attraction of any mod. So i made proabaly best skill in history od modding, a spike. Making skill description was harder than skill itself duh. And made quite mess in skill tab too (duh, need to fix it now)

Later on, after having some fun with my new skill i decided to try and make passive skill, thorn mastery. It took me around 2 hours to figure out how to make
it work properly, including calculations. But finally it worked, i even managed to add aura for my first passive skill, and so here are some screenshots.

Then i made another passive skill for necromancer.

And for almost whole-day work i finished with spike nova, this one took me like 30-40 minutes to make, including description and calculations. Things
are getting easier to do.

I also have a question to modmakers on this forum, how i can add effect on missile collison that does nothing but displays some effect, like fire hit, or lightning hit does?

if you want any sort of graphical effects only you can use the clienthit etc coloumns. Also there is a single one just for the hit effects, but ofc i forgot its name it should be left to the cltsrvdo coloumn.
