I know how you feel, HC has only one thing: you die, you lose everything

99% SC player back to SC after they die in HC, and bring some items to SC
some HC players will continue in SC, the rest will reset, it lost some of its HC playerbase from that
u can sell item from HC to SC, the item's price will be higher, HC players who don't have much tg to buy. in hc, we give it for free or sell it at a very cheap price.
If you want more HC playerbase, just delete something 1HKO and stupid 1hp curse

I have a lv140 assassin in hardcore this season.
What the changes means to me is , if I die in hardcore, I will be removed from hardcore ladder instantly.
And I should play hardcore more carefully.
The high level character in hardcore almost equals to nothing in softcore.
It implied that I may delete the character immediately after dying in hardcore.

Your character stays in HC ladder even after it dies; at the exact same level and exp it was when it died even if you continue playing it in SC.
It does however also get added to SC ladder (and progresses normally as you gain exp in it), so if you're high enough level you could have the same char be 1st SC and HC.

Eh just play "Imaginary HC" if you don't want to lose everything. I challenged myself like that many times. How do you play that?

Play on SC, try not to die as long as you can. Note your progress and how far you went. Try to beat it on your next playthrough. Its chill, you don't lose your character and time after dying, just continue to play as normal (death is part of the game too, part of learning encounters by trial and error)

The point of actual HC is - you die you lose the character. That's it, there is no half assing about it. Like ultra nightmare mode in Doom 2016, or No Death mode in Gothic 2: Returning. Don't want this to be so restrictive? Well... just don't play it. It's a small niche feature, not the main game.

This is a pointless discussion. If you like the change, great! If you don't, then just delete your character when you die.

I remembered I watched a guy streaming playing hardcore on twitch someday.
After he killed 'nightmare' baal, he said my hands were shaking.
I never killed nightmare baal with a melee character.
It is hard to image that for those never play hardcore.
