Marco just told us the reasons it was changed and the reasons it failed. What would reverting the change accomplish?
Marco is doing the right thing in changing the mystic orbs paradigm in the sense that it addresses the problem directly.
Besides, lowering the vendor cap would mean you'll have to sell a lot of stuff to repair your items which is an undesirable side-effect.
