Perhaps a dumb question: where does one find relics/where do they drop?

random world drop, guaranteed from relic thief gobbos/herbert (but those are "random world spawns").
=> no particular area that you can farm for relics.

Does the 50% to aoe attack scroll of enchantment work with maelstrom?

I currently use the hellfire one. I also have klaatu amu (no snake beads yet) so maybe doubling up on hive effect might be an idea ? I don’t have the hive scroll yet though.

No Maelstrom is a projectile not an attack.

So for scroll enchantment helmets wanted as maelstrom assassin. I’m looking at hellfire vs fire dance one vs dark power one vs hive one vs movement/gobby luck?

How many Occult Effigies can you add to a single item? Is it one total per item? One of each type to an item? Or multiple?

Yes it's possible to cube more than one Occult Effigie on an item. There also isn't really a limit to it except for lvl requirement for you to wear it ofcourse, or if the Effigie itself says 1Max use per item for example.

Yes, but if you're looking for a SU drop it would be better to farm Duncraig, still low chance that you happen to get the one you want though.
