Thanks!

Maybe I am just bad, but will that statement hold when I kill laz? ;)

Not sure how to max block. Druid can kill laz?

I have no advice to give, because I will never attempt him.
I like Median for leveling and low ubers, to build a crapton of characters. I have 3 assassins, 4 amazons, 2 sorceress, etc... I rarely farm signets: that's only necessary if you want to beat every single uber. I never farm until level 120 (usually starting Destruction at level 110-115). By playing like this, the game is always "new and fun". It never asks you for 6 hours consecutive gametime just to beat one particular zone. And you really don't need the late uber charms to have fun.

You could consider playing a bit more like this. It definitely delivers in terms of fun and it's both accessible (play when you want, as much as you want), fair (you can always do everything) and challenging (as long as you don't play *THE* overpowered lvling specs. Leveling in melee will always provide some challenge for example).

Late ubers are all about cheesing them. They do provide interesting challenges for people who like to farm a lot, but they all essentially boils down to:
-: reach a stat lvl
-: have some particular skillset
-: have the exact strategy required
They are well designed. But they are not designed for every characters, skillset, reasonably obtainable gear, person, etc... If you feel they are not worth your time, then they are probably not worth your time. You still have a lot of game to enjoy.

As a side note, I wonder what Laz is thinking seeing all these talks about how to kill him :D

As long as you don't touch Razor Fur Titans, leveling in melee spec is much easier than with many ranged chars because less monsters are capable to kill you. Surely there are a few exceptions like holy melee or nagisin, for example.

This really depends on the specs. Sure, if you rock 500% tcd, tons of health regen, passive damage, control and 75%@ res at level 12 you are fine.
You would be even finer in range though !

Would you still say this if your original method had panned out? ;)

Eventually i'll thank you for your good efforts, despite the frustrations  .. once I've beat the game. :x

I'm the type of guy that can't play a game without beating every boss, getting every desired item, and finishing all the tasks. Although I go off the deep end sometimes, it's part of the shy away and regain footing process for me to surmount certain challenges, of which this has got to be one of the hardest games I've played in terms of these last few bosses. Seriously fun. Completely irritating. Very rewarding after spending many, many hours. Like rolling sbs (finally >.>). Or killing mnx. Felt good to take out a big boss. Twice. :)

I'm at the point where I can't set it down without finishing it. If laz is the hardest boss, then I finally made it to my game goal, which was to clear everything up to the last point, and beat it. It reminds me of diablo 2, and yes here I am contradicting myself. I was speaking out of frustration earlier. If the game dropped all the loot, and all the bosses were easy, then it wouldn't be a reward; it wouldn't be fun. That's why I couldn't stick to playing battle.net d2 these days. I don't have to grind to get 45l Gc's, perfect annis, or perfect coas. It's all just there, cheap, available, easy to get. I guess I forgot what it's actually like to play d2 in the original sense..

For laz farm the Triune a bit, get +100% overall speed from charms, you will easily hit cap on hit recovery, block rate and your walk speed will rock.

Blink to vaca loco - kill, pick up charm, new game, blink... ~30 seconds per run. Speed charms are quite common. I got 3 with more than 20% in half an hour, and several small ones with 4 and 5%.
