Blizzard has been well aware of Median XL for quite some time, and have even commended BLaz for it.

Luckily they never tried to intervene or monopolize on the project.

IfI remember correctly it was in an interview with jay Wilson in the year D3 released or the year before.

I can confirm that blizzard commended the mod, but I'm too lazy to search for it right now.

Just like all fighting games are similar, all first person shooters are similar, all platformers are similar and so on. Of course games within a genre are going to have similarities with other games from the same genre. Come on now.

God of War 1 ,2 and 3 are basically platform games , and they are nothing even near similar to Mario platform games. And did i say otherwise? What i said still goes. All MOBAs are similar to each other.

Except that in case of hots teamplay is much more important. In Dota LoL and HoN you can easily win the game on your own if you're fed enough. But in case of hots you have to run around together to be able to win.

that doesnt make it good imo. in the case of dota, if a player or team is feeding as fuck and just playing bad and careless, it is a good mechanic imo that this behavior is punished. but even if you are behind there is always a chance for a comeback if you have proper teamplay. i really dont wanna start a "whats the best moba, and why it's the one i am playing" war. just saying... i dont wanna hate on HotS, but like most games nowadays they are made to satisfy a large base of players with a low learning curve to make them easier and get your feeling of accomplishment faster. its normal that there is a market for ppl who like this stuff but it isnt for me. i remember playing video games in my childhood and trying over and over, playing for hours to beat this one level, and i dont like the kind of games which you play through and just buy the next one. players are getting lazy...

also because of this development and blizzard jumping on the train, i dont like them anymore too until they prove me otherwise
