Short Questions Thread

Not an expert in barbs but ill try to answer your points :

1- Yes. Deadly Strike. Chance to block. %fbr. Woot woot.
2 - Ohm runes and Quiet crafts if youre really hurting for Vit. Also Runemaster gives you defense % per rune socketed , not life.
3 - You will still need max block if you want to farm dunc etc, as well as as much %DR you can get til you hit cap, and that you can achieve through lucky'd 1/2%DR runeword bases on runewords that already give you %DR (Vith belt, Nih Armor) and through TA trophy = 5%DR. Rest of the points go to strength because damage scaling.
4 - Yes to Wolf stance for that sweet CB and pretty much everything else. Or go Kraken on crafted barb helm for more damage, whichever works best for you.
5 - Invictus is still top shield for us. Since we dump everything else on STR after getting max block and all that. Plus it makes you nice and tanky with 10%DR.

So I crafted the monster tokens w/ my class charm, but was unable to upgrade my skills any further. I'm at lvl 120. Bug, or is there another cap?

You can only do each minigame once per character and 3 Dogmas' skill signets per character.

I am new to Median.
And was instantly killed by a normal treasure chest on second map,chest trap I guess, my barbarian lvl 9 had full 300 HP.

Is that normal in Median?

Pretty hard to play hardcore character then?

First game I played with Paladin, and I was also instantly killed by some enemies (souls) in the second level of the cave I have found, also act I, map I.

Does the 6 magic stone sceptre give reduced levels to amazon? ie the Magic Missile level.

Instagibbed by a trapped chest? That doesn't sound right, they do hit hard, but never that hard; at least in my experience. Must've been bad luck me thinks, get some Bloodstone gems to boost your fire resistance. For the second part, it sounds as though you wandered into Duncraig, one of the hardest Uberquests in Median XL; it's level 95 on Hatred difficulty, avoid it like a Jehovah's Witness with Leprosy.

Its normal. You triggered an elemental trap , at that stage you have no resists so its normal you got instagibbed.

You entered Duncraig with your Paladin. Thats an uberlevel wih very aggressive mobs. If you see entrances with red names , better not go there for now.

boots and the miniguide says to use an Abandoned crafted boot. Can anyone shed some light as to why? Zealot Rush has more bonus to dex and more attack rating. I can only think the reason being I can bless the crafted boots with a crushing blow shrine. What do you think?

%Dex %ar truckload of +attributes , and many other affixes. also, crafted gear comes with all sockets possible for that item and double MO bonus.
