99.9% sure it's not.

Edyrem are weak and it takes a second before their AI kicks in. You need distractions in the meantime to keep them alive long enough to hit their targets--that means either summons, an aggressive and tanky merc, or you.

any recommendations for a build that can easily farm tfaust? have 2 level 120 characters struggling to farm shrines for crafted pieces

Never got a Traprat that far, so IDK wat do there. Maybe just have to clear out enemies 1x1 by spamming Edyrem+Quillstorm. Then spam Lilith with summons+Edyrem til her shields drops and try to hit her with Thorn Wall or lure her over Egg Traps if you can't hit her with Quillstorm. Still think maybe a merc could help (1 more meatshield). Guaranteed someone else has a real solution, but it's the best I got rn.

When I upgrade a TU, and I have some gems in it, does the upgraded version keep the gems?

no , anything you got in sockets will disappear . use an oil of disjunction to unsocket before upgrading
