Do you have the right class charm? For sorceress you need the Nexus Crystal. Also double check that you're using a jewel and not a gem.

Oh...that's what I've been doing wrong. I put in a perfect gem instead of jewel. Thanks.

Ok, this is getting rediculous... I'm almost 100% sure that I've updated the patch properly and from the appropriate sources as I was poined previously in this very forum. But there are too many indication that something did go wrong in the process anyhow, so I want to do a clean install from scratch ONCE AGAIN...
Please advise how to do that in the best way... I know that there was a guide for newbes, just point me in the right direction please...

Install Diablo 2 + Lord of Destruction expansion. Then download and run the launcher. Make sure when you run the game that you do so with admin privileges and in compatibility mode (win xp sp3). If you still have issues you can pm me here or on discord (same name).

In theory I can do install from disks or from battlnet site. Is one option better that other? I know that from disks I need to "upgrade" the game to the right version and from the site, to "downgrade" it.

The launcher should revert to the correct patch if you install using bnet. Just make sure to run the launcher as admin.

Another "dumb" question, if I may: PlugY and D2SE have to be installed separately, or does the launcher include them too?

D2SE includes Plugy if I'm not wrong. You have to install D2SE separately tho.

I don't use either of those programs but here is a thread that might help.
