You mention a gold chest, did you use the one on the second level of the sewers, or the one on the first level? Because only the chest on the second level will actually drop the heart.

You get to the second level by using a lever to open a stairwell. The lever is marked in red on the map once you see it, but a better marker is the fact that in Median, it is guarded by a pack of Sinners led by a super-unique. So you know you've found it when you start getting Pyroblasts thrown at you.

If there is a consensus, I think it would be a5 barb. Personally I've almost never used one, not in recent history at least, but pretty sure they out damage and out survive any other merc, by how much I can't say.

I don't recall the lever/2nd lvl or the pyroblasts during my clear, but that should be helpful.

is there a way to aquire oskill flamestrike on a rare ? i need a single target fire skill

Are you playing unholy pala? If yes then craft a Pala Shield with oskill Ring of Light. Really good Single Target skill. All other fire casters have good Single Target skills iirc.
And no, Flamestrike cannot spawn on rares.

didnt flametrike spwn as an oskill on rare war staff or has that been removed?

I tested ring of light and i dont think it will work it is basically a circle of fire and i need somthing to target astrogah

Take a look at the affix table and try other fire oskills. I do not know how Brimstone and Funeral Pyre scale and never used them but maybe it is worth a try.

Quick question: does the assassin uberskill Phase Bomb also kill you if you attack the victims with thrown or ranged weapons, or does it only affect melee attacks?

It applies to all weapon damage attacks.
