What´s the difference between %max dmg mod and the adds dmg mod like the one i have on my wep?
Are they the same or equally good?
I dont get it... :?
Also, what shrine should i bless with?

%max damage is % based. "adds damage" just means you have + min and + max damage not effected by % modifiers on the weapon itself. Shrine blessing is going to be based upon your overall gear and needs.

Do you need cold pierce? Sacred Shrine

Do you need more str/vit? creepy/quiet shrine

Do you want deadly strike? intimidating shrine

Do you want tri pierce for a boost to nephalim spirit? trinity shrine

Do you want more % and + damage? Weird shrine (for you this will not work as you are already past the cap of 200% ed

Soooo... %max dmg is the better mod i presume?
Since it applies to more modifiers?

There is no such thing as a % max damage mod.

my bad... i meant "to maximum damage"
so for example:
adds 5-300 damage vs 250 to maximum damage
Im prob very slow and stupid atm...
But i dont get it lol.

1. when i want to changethe merc - for example from a2 to a5 - is it better to do it in NORMAL or in hell?

2. when i MO an eth weapon - does it remain eth?
1. they tend to have a bit better stats if you buy them in Normal and level them . if you are already in Hell , it doesn't matter much where you buy them from as they will be already leveled just a bit lower than your character level .

2. ethereals cannot be mo'ed

1 - doesn't matter. unlike d2 lod theirs not a difference in mercs like a2 based on difficulty

2 - item will remain ethereal with mo. the times it changes are with renew's, or recrafting (charsi, honorific, or shrines). Since it's considered a new item and is entirely re-rolled.

I think its better to write it here than creating a new post, we will see.

I created a game and I opened two clients to be able to log with the same account (mule and transfering items) as I used to do (and iirc its allowed) and got for the first time a warning about the possibility of getting banned. Did something changed? ITs not allowed anymore?

Thanks.

it's allowed for muling. But if any of the characters leaves down or has been out of town in that game, the bot flags you. It's mostly to stop you from using 2 characters to level yourself i'm assuming.

though idk why. Having 2 toons vs 1 in a game shouldn't be that big of a deal. And they also frown upon rushing your own toon. I found out after rushing one of my mules into hell myself (i like having a mule in hell, so i don't always need to remake normal just to transfer then remake hell. easier to just have them join and transfer).

edit: again idk why. It's really not that big of a deal. If i were to take a guess though, it's to do with the logistics of how the bot reads dual accounts in one game. Theirs no way to separate self rushing from leveling your own toon (though already one maxed to to it, not sure why it's an issue). So the rushing was removed as a byproduct of trying to slow players down, or restrict drop rates or something. I honestly don't know the reason, it really could be something viable.

I've just started playing the mod and I'm loving it so far. It adds so much depth to the already awesome game.
Since I have just started I have a ton of things to explore, so I will make it short (and don't judge quite a noobish question).

I am a type of player who likes to explore every corner of the map. Since I found out there are level challenges, like Tran Athulua, my question is - since I really love exploring much, and experience gain is significant, should I skip some parts as I am worried about overshooting the level req for that particular challenge? What are your tips for optimized gameplay, not to miss a challenge, but still do vast majority of quests/exploring?

the challenges are made in such way that you cannot miss them . just enjoy the game . there are no max level requirements to do them , so you can do them any time you wish as long as you have at least the minimum level required .

good luck !

Only that 1st challenge, Tran Athula, has a complete "before" required level without any penalty, for the rest you need to be "over" required level to start doing. Also i recommend you don't explore anything you don't have to in the regular game, just do the essential quests that give skills, life, resistance and the Challenges up to hell difficulty and then farm for xp and shrines or whatever you need to progress further in the ubers, that's where the fun is. The two lower difficulties are just a relic of a time when gameplay was stretched to seem bigger when in fact it's repetitive and a bit annoying nowadays.
