curses overwrite eachother , unless they are of the same type , moment in which they stack . example : shower of rocks slow + Miasma slow stacks, if both of them apply to the same target ; doom and nightmare are reducing different things -> they do not stack -> they overwrite eachother

Are there any better Fire spells for farming that a Sorc has access to and that don't require SUs/Great RWs (doing the 120-125 grind and don't have access to these yet)?

Her main Fire spells are really bad for farming b/c small AoE (Flamestrike), inability to pierce targets (Flamefront), and general inability to deal damage b/c of terrain (Pyroblast). Apoc and Brimstone are even slower. Will try Pentagram once I find a Scepter to craft. But is there any other spell to consider?

Pentagram has good damage now but the cd of 1.6 seconds is really annoying especially for farming.
What damage do you have had on Apoc and what skill route did you choose?
With oskills on sorc in my experience best you can do is going Chrono + smaxed familiars + smaxed timerless Firedance for more all skills and nice sd bosst and slow since all syn buffing skills are sorc only.
Another fire skill worth using does not come to my mind though...

Eh, if Pentagram has a CD, it's probably not worth it then.

Damage output for Apoc was about 2.6k, I think (was only using TU Long Staff b/c too lazy to recraft my boots). Aside from low damage, Apoc's reduced AoE feels unsatisfying. Will try it again with recrafted boots.

Skillplan is a typical Fire/Cold caster with gear focused on +FSD/-EFR and minion boosts. Was hoping to find a decent Fire spell so I didn't have to respec and/or gather an entirely different gearset just for XP grinding.

Edit:
Rolled some boots with +20 Apoc. Damage went up to 3.5k, but still slower than spamming 1 point Flamefront.

around 2.5k dex and 5% block shield with baneblade maxes out my block chance.

More DEX, +%CtB mods from skills/gear, and playing a Class with a high base CtB (clvl also plays a part).

The CtB formula is posted in the Defense and Block page of the docs. You can use it to calculate your CtB potential.

can you farcast the zons charged strike? im assuming modding the file wont work since it was patched in clod, but like the namelock method?

my best results at that stage of the game were with Brimstone oskill (scepter + circlet can get you up to +48 in total) . it's more reliable than Pyroblast , while the damage and aoe is similar - it can be spammed faster and easier (and a bit safer) , even if there is a small delay between the time when you plant the fire seed and the time it "explodes". + it also frees about 25-ish hard skill points that you can invest somewhere else .

unfortunately you can't get anything better than this if you are not counting SU's . The pre-sigma Pentagram was great , but now the timer does not allow you to spam it .

imho , as a fire sorc main attack it's either Brimstone for freeing skill points or Flamestrike for boss killing . both of them are slow farmers , but they can get the job done .

later on , some specific SU's can open other options (such as Flamefront)
