The elemental damage of FON, in case you don't have any other source of elemental damage, is ~1k6 per element making 4k8 total. Qor rw gives -50 all res which is 2k4 more rainbow dmg. On the other hand, 400% ewd from Akarat Crufix, with average 1k5 base damage of Shark, is 6k physical damage. ~75% of that is converted to magic damage in case you are thinking about dealing with immu. So if you only care about damage I seriously suggest Akarat over any other shield.

sky spirit, could also go with ramcharge if you have lag problems.
galugs are in my opinion the best but demonic is always a good option,

3 sk teganze if its your only thing that gives you mana but not if you are using wyands, otherwise i think that a nice doom ttad, 5 skill, lightning arena ammy is better.
khazara plate or, sbs, wyands if you rllllyy need the mana but we are talking end game so you shouldn't (I prefer khazara)
titan steps are very nice, but if you have enough dmgs without them it may be better to get those arrow procs from KG (i think titans are an overall better option though
BMRs of course, curse 1 skill rings if you aren't stupidly rich
bv belt (or liliths) for mf or auhe belt for dmg(lots of fire on stuff you jump on)
shield is under contention, many options here. rainbow fury is nice, akarats is decent but bloodlust is a bit wasted because of xis shark, mountain king is good if you need the cb, otherwise i think it may be outclassed Flying saucer is my #1 all around pick, polar breath is ok, but it is a lot of lag worth of procs for not a ton of dmg (unless you focus solely on cold but I don't like that either) i would say its between rainbow fury for a rainbow build, akarats for a wd build, and saucer for most builds.

Is there a maximum amount of avoid? Could I get 100% chance to avoid? or does it cap out at 75% or something

im usually stacking ssu kite shield with a wolf - with this you get mana after kill and life when you get dmged, if none of these apply you are probably just chillin in town

There is no cap but you can reach 100% only by cheating.

I respecced my melee assasin to a throwsin in order to do the Island Of Sunless Sea.
Maxed maelstrom, WotP+WotS with -100 fire+poison enemy resists and i wonder why the damage i was making was sooooo shit?!?!!

Equipment is ok i think, wormtounge, albrechts, royal circlet, honorific gloves+boots, piranha(tried also other weapons but damage was still shit..)

With Hail runeword you can melt many faces. Assassin is a tricky char, there is a "Kickstarter" guide or something.

Oh the times in F9.d or something when Maelstroms every knive proc'd. :drama:
