Not sure about resists but maybe even some usual monsters have pierce to their element.. at least it seems like that. I guess cap+100 is enough (for H it's 75+100+100). Also it's depended on health pool and ofc char with 3k hp taking much more notable damage (and going into hit recovery more frequently) than char with 15k hp.
