I imagine this has been asked, but what is the best place to find oil of conjuration? And does MF affect it? I have been doing icy cellar and drifter cavern, but after about 10 games, no drops. I know 10 games is nothing in d2, but just wondering if there is a better place before i continue to grind.

The Elite Zones in A5 are the best place to farm them. MF won't affect their drop rate.

Elite Zones are:
Abaddon (Accessible from the Frigid Highlands)
Drifter Cavern (accessible from the Glacial Trail)
Icy Cellar (accessible from the Ancients' Way)
Infernal Pit (accessible from the Frozen Thundra)
Pit of Acheron (Accessible from the Arreat Plateau)


- pretty sure these are the only places where oil of confurations can be found

What do you mean how its calculated? It's just a weapon damage nova, deals the damage it says on the tooltip, nothing to do with how much damage you take.

Both are solid options for higher labs. If pierce isn't an issue I'd probably lean towards HoZ for the higher block chance.

What dmg does those big Quill Rats do in Den of Evil and A1 generally? Magic? It's just weird that I and my merc can survive anything in Baals throne, even trap rats, but then some A1 rat kills your merc with few shots and if you don't run around you are dead no matter what. I know their spikes are kinda boomerangs, but if theiy hit it hurts like hell.
