Same place as before, the main path hasn't been touched, you can still trace your way to it as in 1.8

2h sword counts as 1h for whirlwind.. i guess here it's the same but you may try to wear only single 2h sword idk.

I guess it's working only while you whirling (like old poison damage/def/LoS on windform were added and applied only while you whirling). And from what i heard it working only on initial melee hits so it's usedul buff on single-target WW but does nothing with AoE damage from Gale force.
