Soulshatter spawns on necro daggers (can confirm this). Probably on scythes as well.

amazon, who doesn't have access to a multihitting WDM attack while using an axe (unless you count War Spirit, but it's not reliable).
It's important to use it in a big crowd of monsters for the best possible effect. So done right, you can clear Bremmtown by using Whirlpool.
I believe I've done that with an assassin, since none of the other specs worked out for me.

I know whirlpool is showcased in stealthmasters melee nec guide for a proc based setup.

@ stealth: i didn't suggest cherub strike for dmg. more for utility. each missile causes knockback and stun. similar overall effect as retaliate (but imo retaliate just seems better to me). can help push mobs back, if that's something players want.

@void: oh so it WP doesn't strike too many times a sec, but strikes over a large area, so is more effective against large mobs. didn't think about that. thx for input

Churel Oskill is fucking nice against mobs but not vs boss heroic... At least you need -199 % pierce can be viable to play!
Shadow Avatar is very awesome! it has spell timer and deal heavy cold damage per second. Where is it from ? Amulet ilvl 99...
You can try exorcism from craft war scepter or blunt weapon paladin. what's it ? it spread magic damage all nearbies monsters.
Another oskill useful named powder from barb helm i think... It has very very good to farm duncraig with that oskill!

for glacial nova... It's easy to get that oskil from staves sacred rare or crafted. I think it has spell timer but damage is kinda suck!

@blackhole: how well does dmg of churel compare to other higher dmg cold spells, like abyss, for instance? can you give me a rough idea?

For churel damage could have 25 k damage maximum.
Abyss deal damage much more than churel. Like 10x more...
Avalanche is awesome oskill and better than churel but cons is you need to aim manually to kills monsters...
Cold Fear makes enemies run away from you.
Cone of Cold, i don't remember this oskill but i used this one before... He's pretty good like icebolt.

For dark power, you can get from blackheart (grim wand tu)

The problem with Churel is that the missiles are incredibly buggy and therefore a lot of potential damage is absolutely wasted because they just don't hit half the time.

I'd like to see a mention on Devil's Fang totem myself -- I really want to try a reanimator build based around it. It spawns on the TU demon head and it spawns a few rounds of sacrifices while enemies are nearby -- but it's a 75% chance to reanimate those sacrifices as astuatar. It's really interesting
