Just tried that even though I didn't expect anything different from simply walking in and out of the city and sure enough, 40 tries and still no star

I guess I'll just pass right now.

What i did was reset witches 10-15 times with a town portal and then remake game if no success. 5 mins tops.

Why not just go back to Tamoe Highland using the waypoint and try there?

Hey, can I get some tips on Bull Prince Rodeo?

If you can't face tank the chickens, you're supposed to dodge them and stay mobile, but then you're possibly gonna get hit by the stampeding cows.

I'm playing an elemental Druid. My gear isn't the best, but what number of defense is adequate? Is there an element I need to worry about? I can handle damaging him, but I can't stay alive to do it.

(Despite the fact that I've been playing on and off since the Heroic bosses were first released, I've never beat even one of them. To be fair, I'm a pretty bad player, though.)

The ideal way is to use the wall trick, whereby you summon/lure him near a wall (with a corner) such that his cows dont fuck you up.
That does mean facetanking him though.

actually wall trick requires some minimal survability. The cheapest way to beat BPR is to do first a full level clear and then "hit and run" until you kill him.

if you are constantly running then:
- cows don't hit you
- stampede nova becomes irrelevant
- you don't get hit by chickens

Also, due to how his AI works - he doesn't walk he just teleports. But he doesn't teleport instantly so there are always periods where he can stand in one place and abuse that (say with rain of fire for example). In periods where you're running I'd probably suggest using poison avatar, and mythal too. Those are pretty much the 3 skills you need.

Along with the written above I just want to add that any kind of slow ease the job a lot. If you will do this heroic boss in the future with a melee build here's a tip: If you have slowed him for 50% while standing still near an appropriate wall, he don't use chicken licken spell at all. You can do him as a caster sorc using Chronofield or by any other caster using SSU Dirk on switch which has Chronofield charges on it.

Thanks for the help, Asteroth/Marco/Stealth. I got lucky and Mythal + Rain of Fire took him out in one immunity drop. I died, but it worked.

EDIT: How does %CtC when you kill an enemy work with elements and/or poison? It doesn't work except for poison, right?

from docs:

Q: What triggers 'on Kill' procs?.
A: Weapon carrying attacks or poison attacks that take more than 1 frame to kill their target.

I'm not sure if that means poison spells count or just poison applied through weapon attacks.
