As with all ARPGs, a majority of players likely do not get past 125, or in most other games campaign mode. Extending that would / could smooth out the leveling process, and allow a more comforting entrance to the late game bossing and possibly extend retention.
Also, the only builds that zoom past charms are the established meta builds. You can't just keep buffing things forever. If you do that, the only thing left is one shot mechanics. We would need a balance pass on the meta builds, to drop their overall power before attempting to balance the non optimized builds. This would come in the form of item nerfs most likely. With angelics were a bit too beefy IMO.
Also, I've tried damn near every build i can think of so far, only a few were rough playstyle wise. Mostly due to me not twinking them.
