actually any char have his/her own 'kick starter' builds. I.e for barb there are fortress barb, melee snake barb. For zon there are bowzon, jave zon, for sin we have thrower (with creed set trololol).... Best build depend on what style do u want to play, but imo, it's a sin or a zon.
Melee snake barb in theories, can do all ubers, high single ele dmg for heroic bosses, high hp/def + slow to farm. However some1 (like me) just can't do the simple left-click-mobs
Melee sorc is actually pretty boring. She is not a good starter, but maybe, in someway, good, however i don't see any special potential of doing uber in her.

javazon/melee necro/treewarden/trap rat/bow druid/caster assassin (limpet laser) / atmg assassin/ holy melee/unholy melee/unholy caster / sorceress hybrid with summons (fire/cold or lightning/cold) / totemancer / any barbarian (snake stance + eagle stance + tons of vitality shoud be the easyest and safest) .
melee sorc is fine too but you need some time and ressources to get proper gear for it (good abbandoned crafts for mid game)

A traprat is pretty easy to start farming for charms and unique items in destruction. Below is a pretty handy guide with easily obtainable midgame gear for a traprat.
