Are each Parasite bounce (Necro) considered as one basic attack? e.g. procs on striking, Dragonfire Oil or other +ele/physical/magic damage, % open wounds, etc? What can proc on each Parasite bounce?
Same question for Massacre, are each strike considered as 1 basic attack?

Yes and no. Each parasite/ massacre is considered a "strike" not a "attack", all on striking procs work with them.

not quite, Parasite is a missile and will proc on strike and kill and carry all of what you mentioned, EXCEPT spell damage, no missiles with WDM modifier carry this (ignore LCS) so only flat damage is applied (and %phys/mag wont increase damage of parasite), massacre however you swing multiple times so each swing has the chance to proc "on attack" and will carry all of the mods you mentioned including %spell damage as each hit is direct with weapon and not a missile chain. Hope I explained that clearly.

I'm working on a Parasite Necro now. The initial whack is considered a 'melee attack,' so it triggers 'on melee attack' 'on striking in melee' etc. The missile only triggers 'on striking' procs which are much more rare (

This is addressed a couple pages ago, but for Parasite the initial attack carries your Dragonfire Oil * spell damage. However, the missile only carries the base Dragonfire Oil damage. It doesn't matter much, you're going to max that skill anyways.

Since we're on melee necros - what's a good way to increase survivability in Duncraig?

Death Ward only has 'dodge' which doesn't help with Necrobot missiles (which seem to ignore my defense too) and I don't have any great sources of %DR or flat DR. More meatshields? The
Pygmalion
armor is somewhat helpful with the great reanimates.

Life Leech, reanimates and slow. All are accesible from your skill trees. No need to look for different gear, just play for some time with Beladonna Elixirs and pick the spec that will increase your survivability the most. Also you can farm yourself a Tran Athulua Trophy for precious 5% DR.

1. Yes, Baal is immune to poison; spearzon main tree skills deal physical, magic and poison damage, so it's normal that it took you lots of time to kill Baal;

2. See http://www.medianxl.com/t3436-more-than-meatshield-reanimates or you can just aim for buffers such as Destroyer Shaman, Unseelie Lady, Knights of Famine/Pestilence/War or debuffers such as Void Archon, Basilisk, Lizard King;

3. Werewolf druid, unholy melee paladin. Bowazon and Xbow necro are also fine, especially if you can get good amount of Life on Striking;

4. Any caster or a build with rainbow damage (assa, bowazon, krakenbarb, trap rat) is good.

Thank you, i think i'll try a werewolf druid and a bowazon.

Do you mean 'dodge'? I'm on 1.13 (maybe the language has been changed) - but Faerie Fire, Perfect Being, Death Ward all use the word 'dodge'

So dodge is for everything?
