That is incorrect.
What it does is it sets all the flat poison/fire/lightning damage you get from the Way of the Spider, Way of the Phoenix and Way of the Gryphon skills to 0. Normally these skills provide a bunch of damage to your attacks, and Tiefling form removes it. This is because Tiefling form is intended to be a morph for caster builds.

No, since a Broadside sin relies on Way of the Phoenix and Way of the Gryphon to add damage to its attacks.
