I ran into the Worldstone Keep on normal (Hatred) with 85% resistance to poison as a Unholy Paladin, and this thing called Son of Lucian just melted my HP with a poison cloud in 2 seconds. I have tried kiting them away from the poison, but they immediately create another cloud once they leave the radius of the first one. That is pretty ridiculous for an enemy in the basic difficulty, I can't imagine what this thing does on the last difficulty. Poison damage from enemies in general just seems way over the top than it should be, it really seems like it needs to get toned down a little bit. Those cultist looking guys that rain down poison skulls on your head were also a newbie trap. When I ran into them at 75% resistance, they melted me pretty quick as well.

PLR will not help against poison damage like that because there is no time length, just damage as long as you stand in the radius.

I would avoid them, but they are placed in such a way at the Worldstone Keep level 3 that you are forced to go through a wall of about 7-8 of them in more than 1 occurrence.

Trust me, I don't, not after what it did to me the first time.

About the only thing is to stack poison resist, run away when affected, and drink a health potion to remove the poison if reasonable.

Patience eh? Yeesh, that's gonna be extremely difficult in that area... I still think it needs to get toned down a little, that kind of melting I would expect on the last difficulty, not normal...

Welcome to Median XL! xD
Antidote potions stack (at least they did in Vanilla). Just bring Antidote potions with you and drink them the moment you get out of the radius.

Welcome to Median, there is no such thing as Antidote potion.

Edit: I agree with toning down poison dmg of certain enemies. Afaik Sigma should be more newbie-friendly so maybe those get nerfed a bit too.

THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE NOW.
