Hey guys,
I like to play untwinked characters and I was wondering what gear would go well for a wolf druid starting out. Also, what are the advantages/disadvantages of using Harbinger over Twisted Claw?

EDIT: I'm thinking Tal Runeword early on then go for Lo obviously for the weapon. I'm thinking one-handed weapons, what about the shield though? Deadfall for the belt Im assuming, then maybe Lionpaw for boots? what about early helm, before the Lo runeword?

I didn't play wolf much but at least differences between skills is very simple - Harbinger is for crowds, Twisted claw is for big fat Marco single target
Yeah I thought that might be the case, but it seems that Harbinger does a good bit of damage on whoever you land on.
Early weapon and helm - Lo
Belt - Nero (Auhe)
Armor - Erawan rolled to 15% DR with ancient armor base (sacred)
Gloves - facebreakers
Boots - Clawfeet
Amulet Taganze (mana)
Shield (qor) (On)

In my experience there's no real value using twisted claw over mana pulse. You hit so fast and hard with it and can proc melee only things with mana pulse.
Twisted claw is better in a few situations though. Really long slutfests against bosses that refuse to die like Baal in Yshari Sanctum.

I don't really know why Cache landed on those items after reading Untwinked but just for good measure I'll drop my normal starters for wolf
Weapon I prefer Shark (Tal RW) double MO'd with ED+Max damage (Or CB if you prefer)
I only use Void (Lo RW) if I'm in desperate need of mana so until you get Teganze which is very easy to find (Or make with unique upgrade recipe) I'd say use Void
Helm is definitely Lo RW called Natha. It's ridiculously good
Belt is an easy pick. Deadfall. There are also some people that run Truce (Vith RW) on the belt for the DR%.
If we're talking totally untwinked I'd say go for crafted Creepy gloves. Gives a nice str bonus and crushing blow.
Boots, I'd go with Nephilim (Nih RW) boots. they str bonus on them is just outstanding. Some will also go Megalith RW for the DR

Rings can either be +1 with supernova on kill or +1 with Unseelie Curse on kill. Both work well. Unseelie is better for safety, Supernova is obviously better for damage.
