Im sick of people discussing about drops for realm in sigma suggestion thread.

Why not just make a thread specific for debate in medianxl discussion instead.
Since maybe marco will have time to update realm-only patch (than waiting for sigma come first)

Low drops is what made crafting shine a bit more. Crafting is the best and most interesting aspect of the game for me.

well, I don't really play, so I can't say, but if we have a long season low drops are a good thing. but I get that it can discourage at the start.

finding a balance between low drops for a long season and not too low drops to put people off is kinda hard, you can't please everyone. if the drops are too high, people start complaining about it after a few months when they have everything and they get bored. on the other hand if they are low, they complain at the start.

would be interesting if the drops were higher at the start, then, for example, nerfed after 1-2 months (though that would require some work to update all the gs). though that's unfair towards the players that join late.

he has a good point that you're all just used to too high drop rates, so this comes as a shock. use alternatives until you can find some good sus, or have some friends that you can exchange items with. or just trade.

When I came back to SP on XVI after playing the last ladder season, I found 2 SSU's in Den of Evil and 1 set piece. At first I thought low 'wow, good old SP drop rates', but after a few minutes I realised 'what if those drops were transformed to TSW?' and imagine how fast the ladder will be swimming in SUs aka O 3x Reapers helm, the price is lowered because tomorrow I can find another one.

I can understand the point of drop nerf, it returns good old Median XL times when you were satisfied to find a random SU among the rare drop in a hard uberlevel like Dunraig, instead of thinking 'wow, another item, what should I do with it?'. And considering the fact how short-lasting TSW economy is, to make it even shorter? Please, no.

The only and one advantage that I see in bringing back old drop rate is seeing people reaching 500 signets eaten limit faster than before (more useless SU's/sets to be sig'd). But that's where the advantages of a high items drop end.

Yes the problem is that people compare drops to earlier drops or SP drops. Just a little analogy: how many people farm gift boxes before advancing to black marsh? A lot. Great, so if I remove gift box, a lot of people will complain and fill that emptyness gap by grinding crystals to create the uniques (player logic) instead of, for example, using friggin runewords and adapting to new metagame. The same thing happens endgame, people are so used to SU rain so if you take that away from them, they go "wat do?" mode.


If drops are lowered, then it doesnt mean you need to keep farming like you used to do and simply find less stuff (and of course qq in the forums). Maybe you can adapt and find alternatives. Thats the fun in new patches anyway.

I love the lowered drops. It lowers my expectations of su drops, and thus raising my satisfaction when i get an sssu.

In addition, it gives the game a competitive edge unlike any other, which by the way, is why i am playing. despite my numerous boss complaints like desyn and melee being cheesed by bosses, i quite enjoy the game and ultimately enjoy beating those bosses (which i've beat every one i complained about so far :D )

i feel like getting the best in slot pieces are worth my time because they are worth other's time as well. i wouldn't dream of playing this game on single player, it's all about the community and team play aspects.

I take that back. I hate most of these boss fights.

Pure frustration. On simple charms. DROP THE IMMUNITY. 1 second, 1 kill. 30 fucking minutes.

atleast make these hard bosses drop a su or something.
