Is There Any Reason To Dual Wield VS 2h?

As the topic states, I'm curious if there's any actual benefit to dual wielding as a barb as opposed to running a 2h axe. It seems to me that damage per second is less and the only real benefit is slightly increased stats and perhaps more attacks per second if you're somehow running a proc-based build.

Some minor/situational benefits.... but imo since there are no dual wield skills it's more practical to chose between weapon/shield for tackiness or 2 handed for the big hits.

Not only faster attack (1 frame vs shield), but two frames faster casting. It is extremly useful vs laz.
