Anybody else is stuck on this one ?

I end up having around 6 fps during the fight, with a sprite overflow the whole fight. Tried for around 30 mins, only to hit hit once. Those Edyrems are instagibbing me if I try to get closer to free some room to purify him, and with the sprite overflow, I aim seeing his name on the screen.

Do I need massive damage AoE, or just to let the fight go and try puryfing him ignoring all the action ?

As a tantrumdin, %slow isn't the easiest thing to get. I Think I will switch to my bowzon to spam phalanx with Dear Esther. The main problem is that multi-hitting skills will most likely trigger Edyrem's armor, making it even more tedious. I never thought I wouls say that, but I miss the old one

I do this as bowzon. barrage keeps the path between you and uldy clear of edyrem. You have to time your purifies to hit him when he loses SA. But yes, the fps and sprite problems are the "artificial difficulty" added to this fight in this patch. I've found that no matter what you do, you still have to go to town every couple minutes to clear sprites. My average time is 70 minutes, though I've done it in a little as 55 :D

Sleep with astro trophy is always nice for such fights. Combined with the triune charm you have 20% slow and a random crafted weapon can get 30%. So you can reach max slow with just 1 weapon.

Or you invest 15 sk1s for a black void and so on then you can take a weapon of your choice.

I'm currently farming for astrogha's trophy. Since I'm in Singleplayer, I've been stacking loot since I started. Black Void + Segnitia + Deadman's hand + Veil of Magic. Add Sleep with astrogha's trophy and Triune, and I have 50% slow, if I'm right.

Although I'm not a fan of using overpriced items to do stuff. Feels like you can accomplish something just because you have some items with specific stats, not due to knowledge and skillful playing. I'll take them off my merc
