info about defence and damage

i'm new to this forum and have just recently installed the mod. (this mod 8-)

Right now I'm in act 2 but keep getting almost insta killed with my amazone, i know resistance plays a big part, but i dont know how to effectivly up the level (no more resistance on gems) also there is no life leech on skulls.

Can someone give me so tips and how to get resistance and maybe lifeleech.

Second thing i have a problem with is the mod it's self (on youtube videos) i see in clear text what a skill does ect. but on my game there is no way to see what the skill does (the white letters)
Also i don't see on what item i can put the mystic orb (probably also the white letters) Has anyone seen this issue before?

Post screenshots of all your problems with seeing things and than we can help you.
As for the char problem, what build of amazon are you playing, with what monsters you have problems, what level are you. Are you trying to go to the Uber arenas (the ones with red text "Danger: high level area" and then you get instakill ?

You must use mystic orbs, buy them at akara and cube with your items, best way to get lifeleech and res early.

Mystic orbs tell you with what you can cube them. It says cube with weapon or cube with jewelery or armor or any item otherwise memorize the colors.

Run the game in windowed mode and make a screenshot. Is your D2 patch 1.14c?

Lets start with saying, thank you for answering my post: my patch version is 1.14B (i cant upgrade anymore after i put the mod in the directory) is there an easy way for me to still update to C?

i'm a amateur player, i know i want to try for a bow amazone

Ok I manually updated my diablo 2 game via i downloaded patch found here: http://us.battle.net/en/forum/topic/20744104298

Also ran the mod again after, but still the same problem persists..

version 1.14D now

You won't be able to use all bow skills if you're using other type of skills, in your case you placed one point into the blood tree so all other skill above level 18 req will be blocked besides neutral tree. You'll have to respec (reset your skills and stats), you can go to Akara and respec if you completed den of evil or buy an oil of absolution from any blacksmith and cube it with a rune to reset your skills and stats ( I'm guessing that those two methods work on 1.14d, if not, well you'll have to somehow rollback to 1.13c Click here for tutorial
