I think there might be a misconception here at play.
2% chance of receiving a trophy doesn't mean that if you don't get it in 98 runs you'll get it in the following two runs.
What it means is that every time you kill Laz you'll have 98% chance of not getting the trophy. That percentage is fixed and it doesn't vary depending on how many time you kill him.
On your millionth Laz kill the dice will be thrown and you'll still have 98% chance of not getting the trophy with that kill.
As Rishab said there are no bugs, it's just RNG.

I agree with this, the "small bonus" trophies should be adding is actually too sweet in Laz case. Would be nice to see the resist bonus broken down to each elements and scattered on some lackluster charms or trophy bonuses.
