I am interested in starting totem necro (as I'm sure many are) this ladder. I am going to post items that I believe are the best for leveling with, and I would love some feedback to get prepared for Friday! I'm still sort of new to Median XL so some of these might be way off. I'm basing this off the fact that I'm assuming -spell res works with totems. I know spell dmg% and energy factor work:

3 set towerlord is enough even, that 50% spell dmg is the most valuable part. The 4th part of the set is for this 1000 life mostly. ( additional totems there are situational at best). Also necro malice set , even partially is as good as any other combination for leveling:

I see what you mean, but it seems like the Towerlord full set is great. 1 more piece for 3+ skills, 1000 life, and +4% max res? Seems like a pretty good defensive and offensive boost to me.

I'm level 95 atm, i put 1 point in skelly (to teleport on), 1 point in Embalming and rest into the whole totem tree. Had no problem leveing at all, used 0 TUs and just cheap runewords i found along the way. Just grab an exemplar merc in A2 and you get the knockback and tank you need :) easypeasy lvling and challenges.

why not just teleport to a totem? it doesnt need corpses anymore right

Because when moving in a decent pace it is impossible to use totems for movement as they currently cost 1,8k mana each totem and my maxmana is 3,5k :)

Do you have any ideas whats the best spec for totemmancer?

I've been trying a pure stormeye, which has okish survivability cus you can get both death ward and embalming. But dmg is kind of meh. I've done a fireheart+stormeye setup. Dmg is nice, but you're a glass cannon, as you can only choose between embalming and death ward. Any ideas what to spec for?
